Love this show!!! I wish they would make more shows like it, however their Korean is cringe worthy. I wish they would have worked with the characters more to make it a little more realistic. 😂😂

I've just watched this series a week ago and I'm hooked!! Hoping it will get more recognition in other countries cuz I think here in the Philippines I'm the only one who watches it. Plus great thing is they've signed for 2 more seasons!!!!!

I think that just proves how good and convincing the parents are on the show. I almost hate seeing interviews with them because it just breaks the spell and I just love their characters.

• MinSugaRush • I always hated the dad accent, I knew it was fake when I first heard it. The mother's accent is more believable, but I still love them both. They are so funny and relatable. This is definitely one of my fav shows. Beside Fresh Off the Boat, this has to be one of the most attractive cast I have ever seen. The dad, the son, and the male pastor are super sexy. There is so much eye candy on every episode. Simu deserves an award for best buns in the business.

You can hate that but I just want to tell you that the dad's accent is really similar to the Korean accent. He speaks English like a Korean who has never been to an English speaking country. As a Korean my self, his accent sounds realistic.
CallJme Mm, the dad’s accent sounds more faux than the mom’s. My parents have an accent since they moved to America after growing up in Korea. The dad’s accent sounds like me trying to do a Korean accent: sounds off, but convincing to people who aren’t familiar with the real accent.
Normally I hate it when Asian actors have to put on an accent for a role, but in this case, it is very realistic to have that generation have an accent from the home country and then their kids not have an accent, so it's okay. Even with the accents and the stereotypical strict parent characters, they present them as people with full personalities, senses of humour, and depth. And all the characters are well-rounded with different traits as you would find in life, and not just superficial caricatures based on their ethnicities. It's very Canadian.
Found this show two days ago on Netflix and I finished it tonight. I love it so much and can't wait for season 3!!!

One of the best TV shows Canada has ever produced and the first thing the entire family watches all together in a long long time. Even our older children come over to watch it with us, and the conservation goes on for hours.... for a half hour TV show. Incredible. By the way CBC, are you following my family for ideas? Because there are just waaaaay too many coincidences that have happened on the show that my family does. My goodness, we're the caucasian Kim's. LOLOL

I started watching this show on Netflix with my Vietnamese girlfriend and her 10 year old daughter. I’m 54. She has been here 20 years. We laugh and love every character. It’s nice to have a family show that we can all watch together. The funny supercedes everything. There are so many relatable moments as a guy growing up in the burbs of Toronto that I frequently have to change “panty”, lol the writers are Genius level. 😂 best show ever.
This is a rare show that I genuinely like all characters in every episodes. Great show.

Very entertaining show! Just watched all of Season 1 in 2 days. Wanted to stretch it out a bit more but I couldn't stop watching it. My only criticism is that it was only 13 episodes. Can't wait for Season 2! And I love that it's Canadian show.

I just discovered this show this week and have already binge watched all of season 1 and half of season 2 with my wife.
I come from a vary diverse racial/cultural background (all 4 of my grandparents were from different countries and religions) and my wife is British-Chinese, but the amount of times I connect with the characters and the emotions I see on the screen reminds me so much of my own upbringing and it's the same for my wife.
I have no doubt that our children will also watch this show (and others like it) and see similarities.
It's authentically funny, but what hooked me was the way it utilizes that strong emotional and wholesome aspects of itself. Its really rare a show has this much heart
I love this show. I'm on my 3rd watchthrough of the episodes. It reminds me of growing up in my dad's church, all the people coming in, all different life stories, flavors, varieties.
Great show. Some highly enjoyable TV comes from our friends in Canada. This and Schitts Creek blow away American sitcoms. Thanks Netflix for making them both available.
Oh man I love this show, I stumbled upon it randomly on Netflix. Instantly got obsessed with it, so glad they'd be coming back with season 3 and 4. I hope they keep it running for a while.
First encounter with a Canadian TV series - quite impressed actually.
Other Canadian shows that are worth a look (if you can find them) - Schitt's Creek, Corner Gas (live and animated), Sunnyside, Baroness Von Sketch Show, and Letterkenny.
Me and my husband absolutely love Kim's convenience. Iv watched it more than once Its hilarious and heartwarming.
My whole family loves this show. It's genuine, funny, brilliant writing and acting, and each episode leaves you laughing, and with a warm feeling and an appreciation for your own family and overcoming struggles.

Even as a second generation Jamaican American I can relate a lot. Janet, Jung, and Kimchi each have something I can directly relate to in relation to being raised in one culture and living in another. Great show even for Canada😜

This show is a treasure. Despite being Canadian, it deserves to be seen by everyone. I'm not even an immigrant, but my wife and I connected with everyone in the cast. This show exhibits really good writing, acting, and producing. It makes me proud.

I relate to this show so much as a 1st gen African kid, but it's great to see that it has so much support across races. The writing is so organic and hope that is see at least 2 more seasons

It was not recommended to me, I was just scrolling through Netflix options and saw the thumbnail and name, and it gave me a Margaret Cho vibe, and I love her stuff, so I tried it out. Oh my, best show I've found in years. One of my favorites. Unless something goes badly wrong, this is one I would want to own in its entirety when it's over. I keep trying to get people to try it out, but everyone describes comedies as "funny, fresh, clever" so I have no way to extol this above the hoi polloi that works. But I *will* keep trying.

Absolutely love this show. I just found it about a month ago on Netflix and have watched all 3 seasons. I love the Kim family. I love the diversity of the show. Watching it makes me realize how similar we all are or can be regardless of ethnicity. I can't wait for season 4 :)

I absolutely love this show and relate to it so much. As a person whew grew up with a lot of Asians and spend a good amount of my forming years at these peoples houses, it’s such a throwback to those times, I hope this show goes on forever!!!! I love each and every one of you so much!!!!!
I am so happy to come across this on Netflix as Canada looks so beautiful, one day may I be blessed enough to visit the Toronto area. Western New York here and love Kim's Convenience amazingly well done at making it unique but also making it feel like it represents anyone no matter race, religion or area of the world.

CBC you put nbc, cbs, disney/abc to shame. in Alabama watching this hilarious, clever show on (thank you Netflix) story line and acting are incredible.
