When Jung goes to the hospital to see his Appa and Appa is so high on morphine that he talks to him naturally as if their relationship hadn't been on hold for 9 years. Not only touching but such a clever way to get the dialogue going again without it feeling forced. Anita Kapila, writer

Firstly, as we just began season 4...I was disappointed in hearing the news about the behind the scenes crew as not being diverse...especially given that the cast and supporting players was very diverse and inclusive and, to us, did not seem judged. The back story angst and strife, we didn't need to know. At least not now. As far as Shannon being given her own spin off...as she was the only one who was the "property" of the studio...it makes sense, though it apparently fell through, and we knew already though the "property" issue was not in that discussion. I believe that the show, itself, makes me happy because it is funny and kind and playful..without it being condescending or shining a stereotypical light on the Korean/Asian community. If there are stereotypical moments, then they are so because, in fact, stereotypes are rooted in fact, whether they be Korean, Italian, Brazilian..whatever. Indeed, it is Shannon, in this series, who always comes off as the goofy one...dingbat, etc. I don't know, I know that it is all important but if we can learn from what people do not fund fair, then it was not for nothing.
