You guys should wear polarized sunglasses while searching these creeks. The polarized glasses will let you bypass surface glare and see straight to the bottom. You've got to be missing a lot due to surface glare. When I fish with them on I can literally pick the one I want.
I watched Sarah paint that. She is wonderful. "She walks, She Paints" is her channel. And of course "Dirty Secrets of Scotland" is his channel. Watch him dig up a cobalt blue ink bottle. Thanks Josie and Andy for the muddy adventure. Big hugs from Ohio.

I have been watching Dirty Secrets of Scotland since Willie started his channel. And since my husband has taken up water color painting, he and I both watch Sarah's channel, She walks, She paints. The best of both worlds. I really did love the art piece she did of the Mudpie. I know its a special piece. I only wish I was healthy enough to go go mucking about with you two. .

The large garlic press is actually a potato ricer, used for mashing potatoes, I have one myself.

Next, you must find TWO TORPEDOES. Then, TWO ONIONS!!! Wouldn't that be amazing. Perhaps you could be honorary Lord and Lady Mudpies. Now, on to something different. Have the two of you thought of wearing "stocking foot waders"? You could then wear your shoes/boots over them and not worry about getting into a bit deeper water to recover your "juicy finds". This has been another remarkable day for you.

Great lark, the belters just kept coming! And the gifts from Sarah and Willie are phenominal. I love all the salt glazed ware. It blows my mind knowing that those three pork pie inks could be from the same firing! Salt firings are hard to control and the salt breaks down the kilns fairly quickly. I stuck to raku and stoneware.

That painting is beautiful. I love the stoneware they sent too. I think the white and pinky ink wells were my fav.
Wonderful package of gifts and your adventure today was full of STONIES!! Thank you! Stunning boats...there was one that had its rudder and the body of the boat thoroughly scraped and sanded...wood just looks so good. The rudder was separating from itself so it was a "being repaired" specimen. You both look so good to see after a huge storm and lots of freezing iceiness.
My favorite part is watching you guys having so much fun being outside and together.

I started bottle digging in 1974 , oh dear , I'm much older now , my children are in their mid twenties but in my mind I'm still 35 ! It's so lovely to see you out mudlarking with your Dad , it reminds me of when me and my dad would go digging on the banks of the Grand Union Canal in Uxbridge bottle dump . We had some very nice finds including Victorian pot lids and coloured sheared lipped ink bottles , some cobalt blue ! Thankyou VERY much for your videos . PIPE IT OR MARM IT ! Love to your family !

Hi Mudpies! First off, I love the gang at Dirty Secrets of Scotland. Wow, what lovely and unique, personal gifts. She is quite the painter.
Second, My favorite finds are the inks, all three in color variegation, and the item next to the ginger beer. What is that? I love its shape. Sort of a tulip top edge. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Fantastic muddy lark with delicious treasures, such as your rare beauty of a Codd bottle. Andy made me smile when he said it was very relaxing trying to spot things (taking it slowly). Then he says .... Is that a bead? As if (giggle) So cute Andy, saying the hardest thing to spot (in the moving water, no less). Every find seemed special on that squelchy lark. ( : Muddy ((Hugs))

Fantastic finds in this creek! I didn't know Codd marbles came in different colors, what a cool look it has; next one will be the cobalt marble. Love the mini marm paste pot, also the stoneware ink with the wide mouth is really nice too...
