Alain speaks so calm and peacefully.. it's a pleasure to listen to him..
So many skilled cooks. Im getting hungry just watching this video.
People!- we use out hands to work with food, but we keep our hands CLEAN! Look at the kitchen, the chefs, they are clean even immaculate you could say. Do you really think thats going to harm your food? How do you think your butcher cuts the meat? I guarantee before the food even gets to the restaurant its been handled by plenty of people including fish, meat, vegetables etc
I once worked at a place that used a "victory wash" yes a CHEMICAL based liquid to wash vegetables you were going to eat. seriously? what is wrong with you people. Don't touch my food but wash in in chemicals.
Also it has been proven gloves are less sanitary than hands because they do not get changed enough. I can attest to this i will use gloves longer than i should because its a hassle to change when busy, its quick to wash my hands when needed.
sound like a proper know it all, there is no excuse for licking your fingers and to carry on plating food.
people who are telling that they will not eat the food because the chefs were not wearing gloves, i would like to tell them that gloves are not one of the easiest things to work with and also their main tasks is to deliver good quality food to the and not to be a plastic surgeon sitting in a lab. Being a chef needs to go through a tough stage of hurdles not a pair of gloves
Awesome kitchen
SethHesio ghjguj
adds flavor.. yum
am so jealous of this guy's kitchen.
I would love to be able to eat here one day.
I would like to see how they set up their personal kitchens. I will never have a professional set up like this.
Marco said no fingers no food... taste with your fingers...
to quote the boss.. :) (Marco)
So many comments are about Marco, it made me think that he was mentioned by Alain.
wonder if the plates and bowls they're serving on are heated
hahah I know that guy! I work with him now :D
so the griddle pans are not fixed ? 5:48
Mentor Marco;)
Who could vote this down? It's really interesting.
I came to start a war that has already begun haha, chefs are fucking brutal.
Anyone know what that chap is cooking at 2:14?
Potatoes
marco pierre white !
As the great man Marco Pierre White said. :)
no fingers... no food
but he also says, he has 10 fingers (or 8 fingers and 2 thumbs if ur pedantic) and so he is eligible to 10 tastes before he has to wash his hands.
@mozelas lol, youve obviously never worked in a kitchen before.
They couldn’t see their way to sponsoring 1/3 of their highly trained skilled experienced staff for 3 months during renovations. Instead they let them walk to find a new job. That’s just cheap and let’s you know just how far this feeling of “family” goes! To leave your “family” to walk and find another job because you’re too cheap to help them - the French can be disgusting. I’m French, I know. Not a good look.
this is chef doesn't cook precooked hamburguers from Mcdonalds brou...
When it comes to food, the more you pay, the more fingers have been on your food and probably licked every now and then.
1:53 the guy licked his finger then immediately touched the food ! WTH ?!
Not "immediately." He very quickly wiped his hand on his towel first. ;-)
and that filthy bastard plates, licks his fingers and then goes back to plating again
are you serious? do they really have no qualms touching the food with saliva on their fingers? yeah marco said 'taste taste taste' but they'd have clean spoons to do that wouldn't they?
the food is super overpriced, couldnt they at least use gloves? i would never pay for this shit
