Have you ever been to Mount Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona? If you are passing through Tucson or moving to Tucson, make sure to check out the Mount Lemmon Highway, a 45 minute drive from the base of the mountain to the small town of Summerhaven at the top. At any given time, Mount Lemmon is 15-30 degrees cooler than the city of Tucson, as the elevation is over 6000 feet higher! The drive up the windy Mount Lemmon Highway Road is breathtaking, with many pull-offs for city views. Tucson residents and visitors love escaping up the Mount Lemmon Highway to enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, fishing, "glamping" in a beautiful cabin rental, and even skiing! Don't forget to visit one of several shops and restaurants in Summerhaven at the top of the mountain! And don't forget to take a ride on the ski lift to check out some beautiful views! I HIGHLY recommend taking the backside service road next to the Top firestation if you have time and appropriate vehicle.

Driving up Mt. Lemon Hwy right now and man is it breathtaking!!! Glad I saw your video so I could push for this during our visit here. The temperature on our car thermometer before we left Tucson was 111° and up here is 82°! ❤️

I hiked to the top when the road was closed 2014, blizzard yet it was summer , had blanketed the road and paths, the lift was shut down, me and a date made it to the top no problem, was lovely hike and saw the observatory, saw the biodome in the valley, saw the huge military generators 1 which was struck by lightning in the 40s, I enjoyed the place very very much totally worth it.

@@TucsonArizona I love windy roads, but not at speed on the computer. We're going up today, although it's supposed to be freezing (69 F). I prefer 99 F.
My favorite place! ❤️ I was just up there about a week and a half ago and it was cold and windy! So funny, it was so hot in the city that same day...kinda nice to feel chilly sometimes when it’s hot in town. Enjoy your trip!
