I did that back in 2012 with an actual Ironman race! I did have basic cardio from a career in uniform, but I had never done a race like that, never done an actual thriathlon nor had I ever ran longer than 12 km in one go before. It was immensely fun and completely exhausting, I was physically out for weeks afterwards.
I was inspired by the full video. I recommend it.

Hi . I've a question please. So, I've a olympic distance triathlon June 1st. So, 3 weeks.
The issue is, my 1500m in the pool is constantly around 48- 50 mins. The cutoff is 55 mins on the day.
I'm doing the distance constantly under the time limit, while taking loads of breaks (to catch my breath) I'm not swim fit.
I'm still worried about the open water swim (it's a river) even tho I'm getting under the cutoff time by 5 mins in thr pool and taking an many breaks.
A part of me is confident, the other is telling me I won't make the cutoff. The first side of me is I'm telling myself I'll go a bit faster on the day of fear of not making the cutoff time, due to adrenaline
Any advice?? Getting nervous for it now! Thanks for any help/advice you could give

I do though and I 14 and I started when I was 5 they are soo fun
I don't know if this going to serve you but swimming in the ocean and swimming Interpol it's really not the same thing so if you race you come move as much as you move in the ocean in Nepal really it's written on the same

As a triathlete - Id say if you can swim well, you can wing it... your time will just be slow.

Omg ! Y una preparándose acá para competir y ella lo hace parecer tan fácil 🤣, igual e de decir que ella hizo las distancias y en el orden correcto de las actividades pero así no es como se vive un triatlón, hay muchas reglas que seguir… no lo digo como hate pero, para que sepan que un triatlón tiene más cosas o no es así a la ligera, pero la verdad que me impresionó, yo cuando nade más de mil metros sin entrenar previo casi me tienen que llevar a mi casa arrastrándome 🤣🤣🤣

This was not a triathlon this was a quarter of a triathlon. But, job well done.

This was indeed a triathlon
it only counts if you do it with other people. I get the idea but you need to compare yourself to others for a triathlon. anyone can walk/ride/swim really slow and take forever.
A real one is a 3.9km swim, 160km bike and a 42.2km run, look it up
