Alyssa James is very problematic. He was caught in the middle of a ton of scandalous stuff this year and was under fire for stuff that was his own fault. Even with him being the most problematic person of 2019, he let Kate and Joey do almost his entire house without ruining it in any way. And for the rug he said he wasn’t sure about it and wasn’t sure if he was going to keep it which would’ve been slightly rude to Kate and Joey because they picked all of the stuff out, but in the end he still kept the rug even though he wasn’t sure about it. i’m in interior design for schooling and all of my professors say “time is money” and we should be keeping track of how much time we spend on a project. if i was mr kate i would send the ace family an invoice and be like “you wasted my time now give me the money i deserve.” interior design is no joke and people think that it’s all decorating and making the rooms pretty but it’s soooo much more than that. if you’re putting blood sweat and tears into a project you better be getting paid for it. fuck austin.
heather bradd it is so difficult. You have to put a lot of time and thought into it to make it a design so a human enjoys the environment they are in. There’s many perspectives and decisions to make when starting a project. And learning it is intense.
I reallllly want to be an interior designer. But so do a lot of other people. However, everyone who wants to be one thinks it’s all about shopping and putting stuff into rooms. It is sooo much more than that. Everyone underestimates interior designers and their job.

This is so common though with interior designers and clients who “just want it done.” It is very frustrating to work with those types of clients. It messes up the entire design.
