My mother wasn't married to my father but still stayed with him because she wouldn't be able to sustain herself if she left him, constantly trying to make things work out but just didn't. My Mom had enough and left,my father constantly trying to get custodythe court sometimes saying he may have custody since my mother has no money compared to my father this would put catherine in a crisis since if she left him he would have the money to send her to court and possibly get the kids taken away. Another whole thing is his fame, Him being famous would put their separation public and their "ace fan" would prob be too young and send hate her way thus making it tough on her.

I feel like she is being manipulated/blackmailed. She clearly is in an abusive relationship (which is hard to leave as it is) and needs help but can’t get it. I just have a feeling that she is smart enough to leave if she is not in a manipulated/blackmailed situation. If she is she may not be leaving for the stakes are too high. A lot of people don’t know this as it’s in one of their oldest videos - but Catherine speaks in tears about how much her life has changed from spending Christmas alone every holiday to having a family of her own, and a man. I could sense there was a lot of pain in her memories of being alone a lot and has come from a background of immense loneliness though I’m sure she had a very supportive family which she does talk about, that she always cried to her mother on the phone out of her loneliness back in the day. Her dating life was really not going too great, and nothing promising appeared. She said further that she believed there was no possible way she could have seen her and Austin working out on their first date, as her hope in romance was just utterly doomed. This indicates to me that there is another element as to why she’s so desperate to cling on to the fairytale. We all know the obvious ones - Austin is a Narc, money and fame, 2 kids and a baby on the way. I don’t blame her, she’s only human. We all want to encourage her to let go of this traumatic and fake fairytale, yet we all know what it’s like to be intentionally ignorant to reality because you just wanna hold onto hope. She’s as human as the rest of us, holding as much hope as a mother would, a devoted woman would and a starry-eyed human would.
