I am not rich, and neither am I destitute. In spite of all oddness, and spoilage from the Royalities, I find it quite odd when someone hires someone to squeeze toothpaste on a tooth brush, and draws a persons own bath water, pressing out P.J.'S, and ironing shoe laces. No wonder those little things tend to make someone laugh at the simplest things anyone can do by themselves. If a person is handicapped then I beg to differ from the Royalities. 🕯🎶

That is not at all uncommon. That significantly reduces the "stories" (true or false) given to the press. It also reduces the incidences of confidential information being given to competitive businesses. Frankly, people should not be divulging information about their employers anyway!!!

Charles speaks a number of languages fluently, is highly involved in preserving heirloom plants (fruits, vegetables, flowers) native to the UK, has college degrees, is actively involved in sustaining small and independent UK businesses, among other skills and attributes. It could help if you researched his programs and activities over these years before making your posting.

He went to Australia some years ago to pick an award for his environmental work(colossal brown nosing by the committee), and took over 30 staff with. He had a hissy fit when someone dared mention their collective carbon footprint. He is intolerant of anyone who dares question his actions.

The clock thing is not strange. those clocks are very old and clock makers and repairers did not used to take notes of their changing of the movements. you can fuck up an old clock for the rest of time (pun not intended but lol) with own wrong move. it's very complicated work.
same with the tea temperatures. green tea will get burnt if brewed with water that is too hot. black tea tastes better with hotter water.

@cliff Sure it is going up a tiny bit every year but it doesn't even partially cover our inflation! It is a joke any more! Government, like JoJo Biden sets it in the US and he is very cheap so it barely covers household expenses. It is hell if you have any kids as both parents have to work to even feed their family. It's criminal. Luckily when I retired from a supervisory job requiring a univ. degree, I was making over 2 1/2 times the minimum wage which is supposed to go up to $13.50 an hour for just a basic carry out food server. So many jobs available now that people are asking for $25.00 + an hour just to start, without the training and they get it!

Valets do just that: press shoelaces, put toothpaste on toothbrushes, lay out the correct garment for the occasion, ensure that suits and uniforms are in top notch condition. Butlers iron newspapers, supervise the household, etc. They get paid a salary and sometimes "found", or room-and-board, for their services, plus the cachet of working in a great house or for royals.

The difficulty here is that it would cause so much unemploymemt if the monarchy was dismantled. At least all these unnecessary jobs distribute some of the money which has accumulated in the king's bank accounts. All this complexity makes it look like the monarchy is fixed in place. I'm ashamed that Australia endorses all this.

When I dislocated my shoulder and broke my arm, I was instructed to not even wiggle my fingers as well as not being allowed to pick up anything with that hand for weeks.

If she did, indeed, have bone cancer or even just rheumatoid arthritis, even the simple act of tending to her most basic bodily functions would have been nearly impossible. My children, 2 of them, while growing up, were each allowed one food dislike that they didn't want to eat. I was not going to become a short order cook! I didn't make them eat that item and anyways they were always a vegetable. No ongoing begging to change their item but at the beginning of Beginning of every other month they could change their hated food item and it worked out very well. Now that they are in their 40's, I know each of their top dislikes and when they come to eat, I can usually work around it. As adults, I'm glad their dislikes have changed as I use cooked onions in almost everything and no heavy garlic (High five, KC III ! ).
