    I really appreciate that these videos are short and to the point... all the while being very informative.

      Really? I always feel like they come out longer than I originally wanted during editing lol.
      Thank you for the compliment!

    Idk what other two handers you have lined up, but I’d like to see Packy and Keven Williams. Packy’s right leg comes up quite a bit on his release, and Keven’s got some interesting footwork.

      Packy is up next, thursday this week.
      I plan on covering Keven Williams after Osku.

    His elbow almost never locks on his release...Always keeps a slight bend.

    I'd love to see someone breakdown how the pros get their ball side hand so far inside of the ball in the backswing. @3:17

    • @BigSkyBowler
      @BigSkyBowler  Před rokem

      Comes down to how you hold the ball in your setup and swing.
      I can do a breakdown.

    Chris Via has a very efficient delivery. Regarding his ball release , are you saying he doesn’t uncup his wrist ( yo yo release) ?

    Should be a separate competition for 2 handed throwers.

  • @canefan17

    Are these approaches (like Troup) easier on knees than the skip/slide?
    Via and Troup just walk it very similar to a one hander.

    • @BigSkyBowler
      @BigSkyBowler  Před rokem

      The skip/hop step isn't tough on the knees unless performed improperly. What really helps the knees the most is a decent amount of knee bend going into the slide.
      From what I've seen, it's mostly a comfort thing.

      No kidding! You can really see when he engaged muscle during his swing, he makes it easy - lol!

      @@BigSkyBowler I always get told to not muscle the ball does this not count as that?

    • @BigSkyBowler
      @BigSkyBowler  Před rokem +3

      As a two hander with a proper swing, you absolutely have to engage muscle to swing the ball.
      This comes from having the second hand on the ball. You lose your ability to have a true pendulum style swing like a one hander.
      The key is to ensure that your not using purely muscle, but a combination of muscle and momentum to engage the swing.
