Hey Jabber Tech thanks for the review. I have something I want to share with everyone please. And I appreciate your feedback. I was trying to find information about which processor is used in the Fenix 7x because I want to know if it has been upgraded from the Fenix 6X. I couldn't find any info about the processor Garmin is using so I contacted Garmin to get some info. Garmin told me they do not release information about which processor they use. So basically they are selling a thousand dollar watch without telling the consumer if the Fenix 7x is using an outdated processor. This is like buying a car, high end smartphone or computer without knowing what is powering it. Garmin was dismissive about my inquiries and I am no longer interested in buying any of their products. Imagine buying a $1000 watch with ZERO information on the processor???

I ordered the epix and the screen was very nice but the battery life was only 6 days, and you turned on O2 sensor that would get cut down to like 3-2 days, so I switched and went for fenix 7X sapphire solar, now I have almost 30 plus days battery life with a much bigger and strong watch

    • @over1498

@@royanania1025 Nice, I think that was the right call. I wanted the lightest fit and got the 7S. Ended up exchanging it for the regular 7, for more battery life. And it actually fits better and feels sleeker in a weird way, just where the lugs reach or something. So I think the 7X would be doable. But no regrets, the Fenix display is still awesome 👍

I have the 6X sapphire & debated about upgrading to the 7X, but the price was a bit high. Some weeks later I saw the 7X advertised with a 30day money back return, so I got one. I ended up returning it after 3wks. There were some cool features I liked such as the touch screen and updated look. But honestly, not worth the extra expense of upgrading from the 6X for just a few tweaks.
I've had the 6X for a few years without any issues apart from replacing the rubber wrist band. (I think salt water deteriorates it)

The thing that no one talks about the Garmin ecosystem. The watch is great it measures everything stress calories Hr respiration sleep pattern distance movements even oxygen level if you trust the reading of course.... all sounds good and it is until you reach 50 years old and then the watch starts to become an obstacle to your training pattern. I am 50 years old I can run 5k in 25 min 10k in 56 min I do weight lifting since i am 23 years old and i practice boxing. All a sudden my watch start to give me ridiculous recovery time. Like for example today I burn 500 calories in a very light gym workout and the watch tells me to recover 58 hours. Might as just cancel all my sports activities. So keep this in mind if you are about the buy a Garmin.
Seriously considering stopping using it if it's to make me feel I over train for with the lightest workout. I am wondering if people have noticed similar issues.

I made several test and the battery with a mild usage does not last more than 14 days. So... I would be happy if Garmin decided to be back as it was... A trustable brand with clean description. Honestly I would be happy to have a fenix 7x with 2 weeks of battery life but it does not make happy being tricked inside the illusion it can last 4 weeks... We are not idiots and after few weeks we can understand if what they claim is real or not.

The fenix 7x sapphire solar watch has a major drawback, the screen in the menu as well as the messages that arrive when the phone is connected to the watch are set to black background and pale blue text (due to the poor finish of the sapphire glass, there is no white color, but pale blue color) and that text is hard to read. There is no option like on older models of garmin watches to change the background to be white or pale gray and the text to be black, which would be more legible. (Inverter color or display color setting). As soon as you sweat a little around your eyes during activities, you can't see clearly, or if you have a smaller (+ eye diopter) for reading, which most people over 40 have the same problem, you strain to read what is written on the screen. Otherwise, the watch is excellently made, but this problem with the screen and the lack of an option to set the background to be white or gray and the text to be black, which is more pleasant and legible for the eye, makes the garmin fenix 7x sapphire solar watch unusable for many people and if not documents in some software update the watch is a complete and utter failure. I found a lot of the same comments in several forums which says that the problem is not innocuous.

Hello! Unfortunately, I returned my fenix 7x pro solar watch, and I will tell you the reason. It does not record daytime sleep. For example, if I sleep for 2 hours after dinner, it does not record these hours, it considers them as if I were active. From that moment on, what confidence can I have in the health parameters they display? It's a shame, I really liked the watch, but it's a major minus that I couldn't ignore, especially when I'm talking about a gadget of almost 1000 euros.

This video is a review of a smartwatch. The Fenix isn't a smartwatch like the Apple Watch. It's an actual outdoors watch. You've completely ignored GPS coverage in remote areas, the inReach tech that should be included since it's also part of the 67i which uses the same chipset and so on. This review lists tons of things that are secondary in the buying decision when it comes to a watch like this. Let's take me for example. I look for a watch that I can take with me on a multiweek offroad motorcycle trip across the Balkans, far away from any other living person.
What I am interested in is, can it track my position accurately and send location data in locations where there is no chance of getting any form of cellular connection?
Will I be able to send a code green once or twice a day with it to let people at home know I'm fine? Where I'm going there are bears, wolves and landmines.
Can I rely on finding my way back to my bike if I go out hiking for a day or if I get lost and need to find my way back to civilization on my bike itself?
Those are the things why I'm looking at a 1000$ smartwatch... You know... To potentially save my life and not so I can use my phone to alter the settings or play music off of it.
If I wanted those kind of features I'd just use my PineTime that was 25$ and can do all of those things as well.

Do you have a tip for altimeter on fenix7x. Somehow my watch is completely screwed and when ever i start a walk or a run it goes up to 80 meters in the first 100meters of activity and then just slowly goes back down to 0 all the way up to the end of my run or walk, i run and walk flat, no mountains what so ever. Tried resetting it or calibrating both alti as barometer but it just doesn’t work. Paid alot for the fenix 7x but now it is just not functioning anymore

The solar thing does really nothing to me. I got to the beach for like 4-6 hours and had it in the sunlight. Had around 300k and not even a percent battery extra. :/ its a great watch no doubt and I dont regret nothing after 2 years but wish the solar did something atleast. I got all/most stuff on. I know it drains more battery but come on, can I have 1% atleast? 🤔

question, if anyone can help me:
if paired with an iPhone, does this phone still tracks your sleep and calculates your body battery. I know that my Instinct lost these features and more when I paired him with an iphone, and sleep and rest is important to me, so I wanted to ask before planing my next phone and watch upgrade. Thank you.

If I spend $1,000 on a watch I would be wearing it and keeping it until it died. No way I can see myself buying a $1,000 watch ever single year. I purchased the 7x pro sapphire solar and it will be on my wrist for many, many years . I don't like that you can not see text or reply back with whatever you want to say, also you can not call or receive calls unless you have you smart phone by you
