    I just made two 12 round flush fits into 14 round flush fits for a 365xl and I couldn't be happier! Every once in a while a person within a company has a great idea and a great product is born!
    Thanks for the video! I was worried the flat springs would wear out quickly, now I'm not.

      I just did too for my 10 rd. From what I can tell they work great. I’m just concerned because what made sig not go with this design if it’s clearly better? I’m going with it anyways. Might get one on my 12 rd eventually too. I already only carry my 10 with the pinky extension and the 12 as a back up. Sometimes I carry the 12 with the 15 or 10 as a backup. I just love seeing people say that this is pointless because they make factory 12 and 15 mags and they think $33 isn’t worth it. They seem to forget that this saves you from buying an extra mag for $50 and you save some valuable real estate that sig doesn’t offer. I’m gonna try it on my 10 rd flush because I don’t even use it because it’s too small. I’ll definitely be testing it a bunch though. I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about magguts though so I think they’re gtg.

      I just installed one in my P365's 12 rounders. Any update on your experience over the last 2 months? I'm thinking about getting 1 more for another 12, to replace the annoyingly lengthy 15 rounder I carry in my back pocket with a shorter 12+2, since the 15 doesn't work that well in the NeoMag clip I use. I think I can manage with 12+2+2 plus 12+2. If I can't get the job done with 30, 1 more isn't going to matter much. Assuming they work.

    • @pete5497
      @pete5497 Před 3 lety +2

      @@richardefriend It's worked flawlessly. However after about a month of use, about 300 or so rounds. I've switched to the Icarus XL grip. So now it just sits in my case. The XL fits better in my hands so I may never have a use for it. I am debating getting the +2 for the XL 12 rounder now 🙃

    I just added the +2 to my G43. Same length (maybe a little less) than the Pierce +1 extensions I’ve been using. Haven’t been able to shoot it yet but I manually cycled through the whole mag several times and there was no issue.

    I have the original Magguts springs for the Shield. Those are probably 4-5 years old. I also have the newer Z springs. These have been used in my 5 magazines extensively. I shoot my own 125 grain loads. I used to shoot a few times a week, but the past couple of years only once a month. I have not had one issue over these years using these springs. They feed reliably and lock the slide back every-time. I'm actually to the point that I am a little concerned that after all these years the original Maggut springs are still functioning perfectly. I should probably reach out to them to find out what he life expectancy of their springs are. It behooves me why S&W isn't using this same technology in their mags.

    I bought 2 of the Sig Sauer P365 conversion kits to covert the 10 round mag to a 12 and the 12 round mag to a 14. So, far they have functioned perfectly and seem t load a bit easier than with the factory spring. They do add about a 1/2 inch to the length of the grip though, which is fine if you have big hands like me.

  • @calt2386
    @calt2386 Před 3 lety +3

    I have them on my Performance Center Shield 9mm with ported barrel. I converted 3 8rd mags. One mag is now 9rds and the other two are both 10rd mags. The one 9rd mag is the same length as the factory 8rd mag for carry. I save the other two 10rd mags for back up. Great summer carry. No issues.

    That poor extractor! Extractors aren't designed to bend around the brass... if you're going to do +1, insert the mag, rack the slide then eject the mag, and top it off. You will get failure to eject if you keep doing +1 that way.

    What irritates me is why they don't make a spring kit for hellcat mags, the most efficient magazines of all 9mm handguns. Well technically the glock26 has the best tightly packed magazine but it's so damn fat that it's not as viable compared to the new age of micros.
    Stoeger has also been able to match the hellcat.
    P365 loses but with the mag guts it's able to match the hellcat. Kahr x9 is making a pistol now that takes both 365 and hellcat mags. Guessing it uses a modular adapter

Do they sell these anywhere else besides their website? $37 for a spring and plastic extender seems kind of pricey. Ever any sales?

    Works well with our G43, although the MC1Sc, which takes G43 ags, does not like MagGuts. Seems a slight difference in the slide's cartridge ramp on the Mossberg is the issue.

    I had'a dream of combinin Magguts (+1 in .40) w/Strike +1, in my Shield .40, but, alas, she wun't run, in this entirely unsupported (By either mfgr!) configuration. (Failure to go into battery/nose-divin...) Magguts don't maka dedicated .40 spring, n I suspect tha "1 size fits all" spring, don't quite have enuff "oomph" required, for tha heavier .40SW round. Given tha declinin popularity of .40, don't see this changin, anytime soon...
