This kind of hybrid propulsion is needed for U.S. armored vehicles. Think of the fuel saved when the engine is not idling to run their electronics Also think of not having a heat signature intermittently by just running your propulsion on batteries. It could be somewhat stealthy, moving much quieter at least intermittently.

Condensor mikes tend to pick up all noise so it may even feel quieter to the human ear than on the mike. 😎🧙‍♂️👍🏼 The battery is the big breakthrough. ...but totally disconecting the diesels from the electric motors would make them far more efficient.
See the Canadian logging truck Topsy for concept. The Ice motor can run at its Stoichiometric optimum.. when needed and there are already motor companies out there building e motors with 80year life spans and needing minimal maintainance work.. for commercial vessels.
Keep up the good work but
Shift to smaller lighter more efficient generator specific ICE motors, like free piston or rotary liquid piston designs... Try to use rare earth 4:45 perminant free motors. They are cheaper and dont even need copper for the windings.
