5 Years Neighbors Laughed at Our Building a Yacht in Backyard, But Then They Were Amazed

  • This is the story of building our homemade yacht in the backyard. We built the yacht mainly with my wife, but relatives and friends also helped us in the construction.
We have been building the yacht for 5 years, and spent $ 30,000 on all materials.
In this time-lapse we will show you the whole process of creating a wooden sailing yacht from making frames to sea trials under sail.
We are a happy young couple, Gena and Vita. We like to equip life around us with our own hands. So we feel as independent as possible and realize ourselves creatively. We love making videos and try to make them useful. Therefore, we will develop and further develop this channel. We have many more construction projects that we will surely surprise you with. If you support family values and love to create with your own hands, welcome to our CREATIVE COUPLE family
In 2017, we were forced to sell the yacht as we wanted to quickly finish building our house, but we are already hatching a plan to build a new expeditionary aluminum yacht.
Here you can see the history of the construction of our house: • The Unexpected Transfo...
We made the project for the yacht ourselves, you can download it from this link: drive.google.com/file/d/19U934pMDDZfNXlfW4gocBjlMftsrDKi6

*Hello friends. We have started a new series of videos about building a dream workshop. In the first series, we prepared the old garage for restoration, as it will be part of the workshop. And they destroyed the ancient barn to the ground, as it does not fit into the new architecture of our backyard. We hope you enjoy our first video in this series:* czcams.com/video/2CLIptIcp8g/video.html

You have to figure it out as you go, and try not to mess up (something done out of sequence, or scrapped something.), so you don't have rework or have to back track the process. As a life long non-union machinist, manufacturing engineer and now a small business owner I can tell you tat after I get the idea, draw the prints and make the plans,------If it is your first time making it, you will find yourself "winging it", intelligently as you figure out how to make it. Just drawing the prints and sending it to china, (which was the "USA busting" decision, to mix free enterprise with communism.), is what you speak of. This is incredible. I think too often some take for granted the amount of work, time, and talent that goes into making things, almost like they magically appear out of the end of a machine. This gives a high level of respect for what goes into building something from nothing, just the design alone, let alone the building of it! I applaud you folks!

Dosnt matter where you do the work as long as the tooling and knowledge is available. You can tell the guy is a master wood worker or boat builder. The guys no amateur.

@@wilsonrawlin8547 I think that's because it appears to have a shallow draft for a monohull of that size. I'm guessing they designed it with lakes/calm waters in mind.

@@mattgraham4340 Agree, really not a bluewater boat, look closely at standing rigging, plus mast seems a little small.
But the craftmanship is OUTSTANDING !!!

I lost count on how many different skill sets this couple would need to have to pull this off. (Woodworking, Solid modeling, metal working, electrical, boat design, sailing, etc..)
That's crazy, and job well done!
