- At the end of Day 1, I check out the behemoth that is the Astell & Kern Kann Cube, as well interesting IEMs/headphones from Oriolus and Panasonic.

I can imagine wearing the Kann Cube like an oldskool walkman cassette player at the hip.
They really could have put a 4.4mm balanced and a 1/4 in that giant cube and then it would truly be a swiss army knife
An absolute unit
Wow! The new Kann is HUGE!
I see she is a women of culture as well..Nandemonaiya by RADWIMPS
The Cube is a brutal design.
WOW, that Kann is thiccc. Panasonic looks good, but that Technics with the tweeter, wow. I have the 1more triple over ear, so I am definitely keen on listening to them. More bro, loving it all, very exciting. Thanks for taking us with you.
No problem, it’s made the show quite fun!
@@lachlanlikesathing that tweeter, i afraid the sound will change with slight headphone position change
Please compare Kann Cube and Sony DMP-Z1.
Hey Lachlan, great coverage of the event. I just wanted to know what camera are you using to film these videos?
dear brother, how is 12Vrms translated in mW?
Can you go a bit more in depth on the sound of the percivali? There appear to be no impressions of the iem anywhere currently.
Hello Lachlan, I see it is very big, would you recommend for carrying around walking outside? I'm looking for powerful and high sq dap like this ak, only size makes doubt, thankss
Astel and Kerns i just bought the se100 and I may have gotten the cube instead for the xlr . Also, it has 2 sabree chips and I love the Sabree sound thanks to my oppo.
Thanks for stoping by that booth. Great channel n you r awesome.
How do you like the se100
Yes how do you like the SE100??
It looks like the display is leaning to the left. Is it on an angle or is it an optical illusion?
I wished Luxman booth was filmed. They sound as good as they look. :)
So huge, yet the outputs are microscopic. 6.3mm annyone?
Another great post from the show. Kinda wish you'd mention price.
She was playing the "your name" album on it lol
LiSA Catch the Moment too!
You refer to the DMP Z1 sometimes, does minidisc got a demo model or something~?
Nope! I just think of it as the biggest “portable” source...
@@lachlanlikesathing ahahah, yeah, that's definitely true.
It's a bit nuts really, many skeptical eyes, but really it's a super luxury item for people who have anything, just like to travel,
An option for an all in one in that market is so few.
The best people can "feasibly" do would probably be a Hugo 2 and connect it to their source.
Did the Percival's or RAALs ever sound sibilant?
Thanks for the coverage!
During my brief listen I didn't find them to be particularly sibilant, or at least the high frequencies were accentuated at a shimmery frequency that I didn't find irritating to my ears. Fujiya Avic currently has them listed for 243000 yen.
@@lachlanlikesathing thanks! Sorry edited the comment in the meantime, how about the RAAL ribbbon drivers? If you recall
I didn’t find the RAAL sibilant unless you were sensitive to upper mids, maybe?
Why is the Oriolus using the 4.4mm and 3.5mm out at the same time? Is it for more power?
If I understand correctly, the rep explained to me they are using the 3.5mm to get a better ground reference from the zx300. You’ll have to ask an engineer if that actually makes sense!
@@lachlanlikesathing that doesn't make any sense lol. Like 3.5mm for the sound and 4.4mm for power?
@@lachlanlikesathing it cant work this way. Sony DAPs are automatically turning off SE-output when 4.4 balanced is connected
Yo!!!! That thing is thicc!!!!
Thanks for sharing! Please do visit cayin n6ii dap. Thanks!
The kann cube is too big~
I wouldn't want to drop it on my feet with no shoes on.
2023
I wish you'd have asked the A&K rep why they don't use the 4.4 connector. Thanks for the coverage.
Because they pioneered the 2.5 and are standing on their ground~?
and what is the biggest advantage of 4.4mm over 2.5mm balanced? is there a change is the sq? or for durability of the jack only?
@@borjok536 some people say it's better because it has a larger surface area = more points of contact = more power = better sound. But I think it's just more reliable due to size.
@@TiagoToons even that is enough imo, when you handle 2.5mm bud, especially on portables where it got tugged around a lot when you use it While moving about, it's easy to break them
Hi Eileen :)
2.5mm jack and half a kg dap, one wrong move and there goes that fragile jack.
Astell kern so big..
such a big unit with no 4.4 trrrs and 6.3mm to channel its full power out is quite disappointing.....
Yes, a quarter inch output would have been really a good idea. As for no 4.4, well, such is a format war...
Lol Kimi no Na wa OST
The display is worst than tft screens
She is cute...konnichiwa..:)
Two drivers in a headphone never work and always fail sonically.
