- The highlight of my visit to floor 13F is a visit to the guys at Campfire Audio, who were well pleased to tell us about the new Io and Polaris, as well as revisions to the Andromeda!

I have the andromeda. Went to a store today and just saw the Io and Polaris 2. Decided to get both just for the colors.
I feel like they're audiophile infinity gems.
Can you describe how is the sound of both?
@@MrThemarty915 to put it simply, the first thing you notice with the polaris is the added warmth and bass kick vs the Andromeda. Certainly, it feels like I have missed bass in my Andromeda. Polaris also seems more forgiving of "bad" recordings, because it doesn't reach for the same extremes of details as the Andromeda. For Io, it has many of the same characteristics of the Andro, just "less". Especially with spaciousness, imaging, separation, and individual detail, Andro wins hands down, but only when you're paying attention - the question you need to ask yourself is if it is worth (to you) an additional $1k++ on top of the price of the Io for those extra details.

The Io really has a nice color. CA has created an iconic and timeless design for their IEMs. The look of the new cable doesn’t disappoint either. Glad you had the chance to talk with them and give us your thoughts.

I sold mine due to the sharp inside edges and corners. Hopefully these will fit better. Looking forward to what they do with the Cascade and Lyra
The io color is beautiful
Great video. CA Cascades are my to go headphones at home. The Atlas are my go to iem's for the road. Really looking forward to the new Polaris, I think they will sound great and keep me from having to take such expensive iem's on the go.

GOLD Series Andromeda playaz! MOAR BAZZE
The IO is pretty impressive how spacious the soundstage is. However, I know in the long run I will need more bass for most of my music genres. I'll be returning them and then buying the Polaris; no need for some of my full-sized planars anymore since I'm always on the run.

Very good coverage! I would be interested to know how the new IO compares with the ibasso it01s in terms of sound signature and technicalities (soundstage, separation, detail).
Hmm. They are similar, I think the IT01S might be brighter, but I will have to hear them side by side!

I actually brought my 7550 on this trip for monitoring! I still think it sounds as nice and natural as ever. I think in terms of detail separation and sense of immediacy today’s IEMs may have it beat.
any thought for IO vs XBA-Z5
Judging from the 2 ba configuration, I'm guessing the IO will be more congested than the Z5. The Z5 will have better bass hands down though given that it has Sony's signature 16mm driver.
Is there a sony booth here?
I think there was on Day 1 but I already tried all the new products at the Sony store in Ginza
