The uninterrupted views of the Western Ghats and the man-made lake make for the perfect setting of this house. The approach on the north side of the plot meant that any siting of the built form would obstruct the view of the surrounding. The house needs to respond to the site and importantly not be obstructive in its manifestation but dissolve into the terrain.
Principal architect Shobhan Kothari narrates the design journey of this beautiful house in Aamby Valley Maharashtra.

A very beautiful concept of the driveway and adjusting the cuboids on a slope with an infinity pool by a garden beside
Interiors are a little bending towards a more glossy finish but the view and nature surrounded balances it out.

What was in the artitect's mind when chose jail like grill design? Also there is not much privacy among upper bedrooms. But rest is superb
The distant white house in the periphery looks more appealing. If buildofy could get that on the channel, Pls do it.
So the structure blends in and supposed to serve principal interaction with the sweeping panoramas inside out rather than outside onto the house
Why dont buildofy provided any detailed drawing (Even not a single structural drawing) , how can one understand column layout, beam and slab position, plumbing, sanitation, electrical and other drawings.
As you know majority of your viewer are students who wants to learn the project completely not just few pictures describing house in brief.
Also i dont understand 1500 per month charges, for instance if i purchase one month plan and after three month i want to download newly added 30 ebooks then i have to again purchase plan of old 250 ebooks which i dont find practical. Even you revised your subscription plan so many times there is not a solid and attractive plan for viewers.
from my experience architects are very proud of themsleves, and seriously i have a perspective, as soon as we are born we see the ceiling, and we are constantly surrounded by architecture, every person is an architect in that sense, it is not an enormouse feat to be an architect, , i still belive this profssion is for kids, and as adults architecture is a stepping stone, we should learn coding or so many other things to compliment the prior knowledge. robotics, astronomy, mechanical design. the list is long, i pity the architects who dearly hold-on to their profession even though there is nothing there, they are just lazy.

it is beautiful however the deep veins in the facade cladding is visually breaking the structure. Having said that the back story of this house is very well researched and presented. Clearly the view takes centre stage and not the house.

I am watching this channel for a time. I like it and enjoy it but. In every video, an architect show up and explain it with his/her drawing. It is still ok. However, pls don't show their face when they are explaining with their sketch. If they want to show up their faces. Let them walk and sit in the space that they created. Let them interact with their space. I think, this is video editor problem.
Besides, like an essay. Architect have to tell story. Why don't they tell like an essay. I mean like intro, body and conclusion. It is not that difficult. Architects think a chair in a space. Space in Building. Building in Site.
It is just a thought.

Architects just reflect some influences, take some designs from somewhere and sell them to the clients.
It has no connection to the site, location, view, local materials.
This design can be copy pasted anywhere in the world.
A simple old village house looks better than this.

They do specify cost in description. Its 6500 sq ft construction with 10000 per sq feet cost which means total cost is 6.5 crores.
