I will forever be in awe at seeing you play the chromatic kalimba, I really don't know how you manage to pluck the tines on the back without seeing them 😱👌👌
You really just have to keep practising until it becomes muscle memory just like with any other instrument. When you play sheet music, especially faster pieces, you can't keep looking up and down anyway so you play blind even with a regular Kalimba.
Nevertheless, it is very impressive and she is really good!
@@crelgen1588 It is very impressive yes! I am very amazed at her speed in striking the keys, I just couldn't do it that fast yet. But it encourages me to keep practicing.
I have a small question: on such a Kalimba, what is the tonality of the keys at the back? Is it half-toned keys (like Black keys of a piano), or is it another copy of the regular keys to allow you to play more notes at the same time?
@@potterman28wxcv It's half-toned, like black piano keys. She has a Hugh Tracey chromatic Kalimba. Those are usually tuned to G in the front and B in the back.
You could just tune them to something different of course.
