Long time no see! I haven't been posting for a long time because of some life difficulties, but I've been practicing hard my kalimba skills all this time, haha 😀 No joke, I'm really so proud of this video, this is one of the greatest composes by J.S. Bach, Toccata and Fugue in D minor. It took me 2 months to learn and start to play it well. I think I did great job and hope you enjoy this 7-minutes arrangement too ❤️

@Kristiana Maureen I've been practicing a couple of pieces like that, and I can honestly say it took me most of 2020 to get okay at it :) Just take it slow and take your time.
@Kristiana Maureen Hello, Kristiana! I want you to notice there shouldn't be any pain/cramps in your hands while you're playing the kalimba and after that. Try to take a care of your hands: analyze how you hold the instrument, think about fulcrums and weight distribution of it, try to find the position of the instrument that wouldn't hurt you, try to look to your arm muscles bc they shouldn't be overstrained.
I'm sorry that the chromatic kalimba playing technique is in the process of creating by enthusiasts now and there is not so many info about it (not as about the violin playing technique for example), and that many things we should find now ourselves by experimental method.

This piece was written for the organ, but on kalimba it sounds no less emotional, and at the same time more tender and sensual. Every time I listen to something magnificent, I feel life much brighter in such moments. Thank you, Eva.❤️

I think if Bach were alive and heard this, he would approve. I know how difficult this piece is even on the piano, not to mention the kalimba. This is a whole new level, I would like to hear it live. Have you thought about playing a duet with someone or a trio?
I think you made impossible possible! I think that this level is the highest. You are a virtuoso! This video is my favourite! I listen to it very often in your performance. I like Bach very much. I thought that it is impossible to play such a difficult piece of music on Kalimba. But you proved that it is possible! Excellent!

You forgot about guitar virtuouso piano or violin when you her play Bach on Kalimba. it's one of the most difficult piece of music to play outhere the the counterpoint is extremely hard to pull off. Well Done Mam you are brilliant

I also want to learn some Vivaldi (Four Seasons) on my 34 key Tingling but nowhere near the proficiency level at this point.
