This dovetails nicely with your track guide. Nice to see one of the restaurants of which you spoke.

I did 2 days test drive from Peugeot...i have driven Ferrari 430 and Gallardo on track day so some experience in quick cars👍
    No.1. It's the engine.
If people ask and you tell them it's 1.6 nobody will believe you😂
My brother could not believe the accelerations...it's 200 kg lighter the n30!!! 30-70mph it's so quick on 3rd gear country lanes overtaking its almost comical😈😈😈
I did nice out of roundabout little 200 metres draq race againts new golf gtd which is proper quick at this speed and he was just watching me pass😂😎
    No.2 the BRAKES
    one word-brutal😈😈😈
This car thanks again to the light weight stops like its have parachute up its ass😱
Did sone emergency braking (as you should) on test drive and you have so much confidence in them👍
    No.3 the MECHANICAL differential
and the 19' sticky rubber means on dry road its glued😂😂😂
There is a large roundabout when i did the test drive...its on rail this car in dry👍
    No.4 the comfort
The sport seats which thanks GOD are not leather but this super comfy mixed of matterials hugs you like a new girl friend😈💗
The most comfy seats i have seen..the boot its HUGE and i am 172 cm and there was plenty of space in the back too...so many bullshit reviews saying OOOH there isn't enough space...its a very compact car with over 400 littres of boot you idiots...
And to me the overall driving experience its good even on them 19's inch beutiful alloys...ride was pretty decent and up to 80 milles per hour not to much noise...defo on level with golf...i think Peugeot managed to set the car very well without the adaptive suspension which would add cost and its just another electrical device to go wrong...
No.5 the touch screen...yes it is a bit of pain but if you are in to cars a bit you would kniw that brans like audi now have almost all of them touch screen only climate controls and people still buy them...in 2 days i got used to it and the sat nav was actually ok and easy to use...
    No. 6 MPG
GREAT!! at 70mph in 6th it will do 40-45mpg which its amazing i think...
I have burned just under 2 petrol tanks in them 2 days which was 75% driving lt like it was stolen and 25% cruising and well over 200 milles each day😂😂😂
    No.7 the TURBO😈
its huge and it does have a little bit of lag...but only till like 3000rpm so when you make sure you are in the right gear before you push the speed pedal you have another 3500 rpm to play with😈😈
    No.8 the cockpit
Yes it is very strange to luck over the steering wheel and it took me 1hour to find the optimal position...the speed which its the most important its in large numbers on the centre display between the dials so not a massive issue for me as you can do a quick look and you know straight away...
So Yes as you can see i was very impressed with this car👍
If there is a owner of this 270gti please comment on your owner ship because so far there isn't any horror stories about this version of the 1.6THP engine...
I did tell the rep that i would love to buy this car but 28k for brand new its a bit too much for me 😂😂😂 BUT now you can pick one 3 years old for like £13-15k with less then 20k miles so if there is a owner here can you coment on what to look for when buying??
Thank you very much my next target its to save some money and buy one next year for arround £10k💗
    Wish me luck😂

Hi. Have you got another one 308 GTi? It's interesting to read your feedback.
Im driving 308 1.6 diesel on mechanical gearbox and it's very enjoyable in the city, can't imagine GTi behaviour, want to know for the future.

My favourite hot hatch! 270 hp from a 1.6 litre engine is amazing.

Fantastic car and had the pleasure of doing an extended test drive in one of these. Loved it but was a bit out of my price range at the time so went for the GT model 205bhp. Was a big compromise but happy with it. The GT was the quickest 308 until they launched the GTI

Great vid, cant afford a 308 GTi at the mo and dont want to trade in my R for one ;) plus only just got the 3008 SUV... bugger. Glad you had fun, was the works car running standard internals on the 1.6?

    • @BradPhilpot
      @BradPhilpot  Před 7 lety +2

Tony B The race car doesn't have a standard engine. It's tuned in almost every way. Huge turbo, different pistons etc.

@@BradPhilpotI test drove one with the original Pilot Supersports and tyre noise was really bad. The tyres were probably worn but I'm wondering if another type of tyres would work better on this car in terms of noise. Did you try any other tyres on your GTi?
