@@TravelwithJoshandJess we have missed you too! To think we moved to the mountains and you moved to the equator. Crazy!! I miss the racing...not gonna lie.
@@Manifesting_Secret_Sketchbook it was good for my health not going to speak to what others find "good". Josh and Jess found it good to move to the equator. To be honest we both moved away from our families who are dearly missed.
Looking forward to seeing the video on packing and what not to bring, we're moving next year debating on bringing my kitchenaid mixer because I have many attachments for it but if it's easier to get one there or not 🤷🏼♀️
First question would be are you going to leave things behind in storage? I left nothing behind but only brought 4 suitcases for the hubs and I. I scanned all paperwork from 2 lifetimes and all photos. Bring a few precious memories type items and give away the rest to family. OVER pack clothes and shoes if you are over average size in the US. Extra phones for sure as who wants THAT added stress when you have misplaced your phone. Polarized sunglasses. For the coast, Turkish towels. They will dry unlike standard towels. If you have room good heavy duty aluminum foil. I have gotten some decent stuff when ordering food but can't seem to find anything thicker than gold leaf myself!!!! An instant pot if that is something you love. Airfriers are more affordable in the US but maybe not worth the space in your bag as they are in almost every store in the Manta mall (So I assume GYE, Salinas, ect). Ibuprofen or any other OTC medicine. Prescriptions are cheap here (go to Fybeca.com and you can search yours) but the OTC things are more... Even skin care like retinol. Super cheap for prescription strength (like $9 vs $110) but for the oil of Olay style stuff double the cost.
Yes we fly in Guayaquil. Private drivers are the way to go in my opinion. We use a gentleman named Yoyder anytime we hire a driver. He is without the best. His contact info through whatsapp is +593 98 435 3572

Im planning to be there in a couple months. Did you fly into Guayakil? If so, how did you get to Olon?

I hope you enjoy your stay. It's time for you to change your hat. Get a nice straw Ecuadorian hat. And try not to get upset with culture shock.
