The last galaxy phone I owned was the S5. I bought the S20 Ultra last month switching from an iPhone 8 plus and my god what a difference it Is in the android world.
For as much as these phones cost they should supply these screen protectors with the phone.
It does come with a really good film protector, but i wouldn't trust it for drop protection.

My original protection started to peel off at the lower right edge of the screen.I have S10 for one year now, used it every day and the first original screen protection is still on and not looking bad at all. Little disappointed in S20 Ultra original screen protection.
@@JamesBond-mq7pd yes. got a bad scratch in one after one day lol put it in same pocket with a screwdriver lmao. If you call samsung you get a replacemen for free in warranty.

Never had luck with the screen protectors that have adhesive around the edges. There is always a gap between the screen and the protector which causes a ton of glare. Not so bad when you're inside but go outside and it's almost unusable.
Whats the best screen protector fpr s20? , because this one wont let me use the fingerprint
Fingerprint doesn't working
I am wondering just why they leave that black edges on the glass? Why don't let it normal. Because from my experience most of them with black edges stole at least 1mm from all sizes and that is pretty much and you change shape and size of your display.

Works like a charm. A little smudge on the Fingerprint scanner but I don't see it when the screen is on.

Had a second look and you're right, totally different phone when using the thum print unlock.

Nice video Shane! Edged adhesive? How's touch sensativity?
Yes Edge adhesive plus adhesive over the fingerprint scanner. Touch sensitivity is good as long as touch sensitivity is enabled in display settings which i did forget to mention.
this is not going to stay on for long, only glue on the edge. the fingerprint circel look bad and does not work well and the black border covers up the screen. This product is bad.

I own the famous Note 🔟 ➕ and used a screen protector called
Military Shield which is a tough film but is applied like water 💦 paste "wallpaper analogy" .
It covers the entire screen and is extremely tough once dried!
THEN I registered my fingerprint on the display.
It worked fine. 👍...
Your one still leaves the thumb print exposed and I used a similar one but the edges peeled off!

Back when I had my galaxy s6, I saw a case that looks just like this one at dollar tree.
It literally is a spigen case ripoff.

You have to rescan your finger after you put the glass on
Is the screen protector a little curved on both side ends?
yes
I installed a similar Amazon H9 tempered screen protector with the curved edges and just the adhesive on the edge and finger print sensor on my s20 aultra and it slid around and eventually I just threw it away.
I'm looking for one that doesn't slide around.
Does this one slide around? I did remove the stock screen protector before applying the other.

@@rgruenhaus I know this is a year later, but it's not a hole... It's actually a glare part of the protector, probably designed for increased sensitivity or from adhesive. I don't like it, but it is what it is.

If you are willing to spend the money Whitestone dome is the best you can buy in my opinion

I was looking at that one. Yeah I know its expensive but looks like the perfect screen protection. Shame we have to do this but I suppose if the glass on these smartphones we're almost indestructible then they'd be poor looking and heavier. I'm probably gonna go for dome one for my s20 plus which is arriving on 10th. Looking forward to getting it. Got the s7 edge still lol

@@cooloutac So I just got the S20+ and a tempered glass a day ago from TMobile. I had them install it for me. There's like a moisture bubble on the fingerprint sensor. I have no idea why, it's the only spot that has it. So for now I can't even use Touch ID. I'm hoping it will evaporate eventually or else I'll be going back to the store to remove it and pick a regular screen protector.

Do u have to remove the plastic covering the screen that come with the phone? If you leave it will the fingerprint scanner still work?

I don't think anyone should buy whitestone dome if the phone is not that curved. The s10 later devices were extremely curved but the s20 isn't

Yes and no. You can see the circle if the screen is darker, but when it's brighter it fades
Can you feel the thinner part or is it smooth on the side you touch?
@@MikeLeeSr no I can't be flush with the rest of the glass because then there would be an air gap were the protector makes contact with the screen.
Therefore you will feel the circle

Whitestone dome are the best screen protectors period. I personally would peel it off and try again because of my OCD but if you can live with it......
those screen protector are horrible.. you can always see that hole where you are supposed to press your finger. Not gonna use any protector with my S20...

I agree I'm only going to look into screen protectors once the stock screen starts coming off. I had a galaxy s7 edge with no screen protector at all in a spigen tough armor for 4 and half years and it looks good as new. it had plenty of drops and the case is beat to crap but the phone is fine lol. The gorilla glass 4 on the s7 edges is supposedly much more scratch resistant then the gorilla 6 on the s20. but the gorilla 6 is more impact proof and comes with the stock screen protector. So i'm not gonna bother with one until that goes. I'd rather enjoy the screen how its supposed to be.
