I came out as genderflux and bisexual to my cousin. I explained to her that genderflux means some days I'm a boy, some days I'm a girl, some days I'm neither and I can be anything in between sometimes, and bisexual means I like boys and girls. And that little girls eyes went wide and a look of amazement filled her face and she told me "Are you a shapeshifter?"
I would not trade this child for a billion dollars. According to her, I'm so much more awesome now. Yes. This 5-year-old thinks that LGBTQIA sounds awesome.
And yes. I call myself a shapeshifter nowadays :D

Thats just adorable. I am genderfluid(might be trans but ok), and sometimes my friends often joke around asking ‘did you grow a d*** again?’ and I would just laugh. Ik they said it as a joke yet I am not sure if asking that to a genderfluid person is considered transphobic but I dont find it too offensive (it can get annoying tho but the jokes stopped now so yea)

Genderfluid is actually a term under the trans umbrella like nonbinary is😊 that comment is transphobic regardless though, something isn't transphobic just because it's said TO a trans person but if it diminishes, disrespect or disregards those who are trans or our experiences. Saying that is mostly definitely transphobic, whether outright hate or not. Transphobia can be small microaggressions or outright violence, this person may not know it but their vocabulary and those jokes show that they probably aren't very educated or don't realize they're being transphobic.

Share! I was horrified when Florida passed the bill. As a parent with a gay child I can’t even imagine what children and parents are going through down there right now! Also in Texas where CPS can take a child for a parent supporting them for being trans. I am horrified!!

I’m so sorry. As a parent of an lgbtq child I absolutely cannot understand not accepting your child for any reason. I stand up for and behind my children for everything and anything!! (Unless they committed a terrible crime like murder obv). I fully support everything they do in life and help them however I can! Be it emotionally, financially, physically. I brought them into this world. They didn’t ask to be born. It is my job to help them live their best lives!

It still bother me how much transphobia there is in the lgbtqia+ community. I had a friend who said he was bi, but said he wouldn’t date a trans person for “personal reasons.” But I really just don’t understand why? I’ve had some not great experiences with some trans people, but I know that wasn’t because they were trans, it’s because they had their own struggles and didn’t know how to handle it. Anyway I hope everyone is having a good day.
Some people are just obsessed with the junk down under and how that would affect their sexy time. Which is fair ig but it still doesn't mean people should treat them poorly just because they aren't to their tastes.. For whatever reason..

My mother says being gay is against the Bible, (I don’t think it is AT ALL, and I’m apart of the lgbtq+ community) when she sees a person in the lgbtq+ community she says that’s disgusting and then she tells me to respect people. LIKE WHAT, your telling me to respect people when you can’t even respect someone for being themselves. Anyways I just want to say that you all are valid and loved no matter what even if you don’t feel like it

Hurrah to inclusive language! We need to use it for the betterment of normalizing the acceptance of anybody able to do anything medically possible.
i just wanna educate my fellow trans people and say that gender is NOT a social construct. gender is a very complex thing and is how your brain is structured. for example, female brains typically have a larger frontal lobe than the male brain.
trans people have a brain that is different from their birth sex. another example, a cis man will have the male sex and male brain, but a trans man would have the female sex and a male brain.
