Cris Collinsworth: Cincinnati Bengals Highlights

- Now here's a guy who has some good highlights with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Collinsworth has way more highlights but this was all I could find on the interwebs.
P.S. I DM'd NFL Throwback to make a Cris Collinsworth highlight video a while back and I saw that there still wasn't one on CZcams, so I took matters into my own hands and made this. So if anyone from NFL Throwback sees this, please one-up me and make a fire highlight video for Collinsworth because at this point I'd have to go on the dark web to find other clips of him playing. Thanks!

But like for real, I don't own anything that was in this video.

Now here's a guy
😂😂😂
Beat me to it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He plays the game the right way. He's got grit, high motor, and sneaky athleticism. He's more quick than fast, but that's where he'll get you.
Hell yea lol
Now here’s a guy that might become a great commentator one day.
People either forget or don't realize what a helluva player he was.
I'm 27. I had no idea he played before. Now I know he had some game too.
To be fair, it was the Bengal's (saying that as a Bengal's fan). And even though he played with us during arguably our best decade, most of the outside world forgets about any and all of our history lol.
I knew him MICHAEL LAWRENCE during his playing days he should have been in the weight room and moved up to 200 lbs he had 4.5 jets.
@@michaelcalderon4523 I knew him during his playing days wished that he was 200
Dude is 6’5 at this time playing receiver
Collinsworth was far from a scrub. A lot of people forget he was runner-up for Rookie of the Year, losing out to George Rogers (who had a monster season himself). He was a nightmare matchup: 6’5 with legit track-star speed AND glue-fingers.
3x pro bowler of course he wasn’t a scrub
This reminds me of how your uncle or dad used to tell you how they were back in their hay day. You never believed them and when they show proof it's mind blowing 🤯
Would love to hear Collinsworth narrate his own highlight reel
“Here’s a guy..”
No you wouldn't! LOL!
The guy has speed and non-aggressively catches Everything. Doesn’t look physically imposing but will burn you.
I ain't know he was this nice when he played
You aint know he was nice? Dam kid whuchu be smokin
Manuel Thomas Yes and he made the conversion from QB to WR if he was playing in this pass happy era he would have been in New England!!!!!
@@thejman8734 Had his career not ended due to injury he could have been the DON HUTSON of the '80s
@@dwightlove3704 his career ended in 88. He had the whole 80s. He was good but not a hall of famer
@@thejman8734 His career ended due to knee injuries were it not for that he could have played into the early '90s.
I still can't believe he was an NFL player
a frickin beast at that!
@@sgtslaughter4017 Yes he was
@@dwightlove3704 he was tougher than he looked , faster too
@@jasonthomad2322 You get no argument from me I wished that he played in Tampa with Doug Williams.
@@dwightlove3704 That buc team was so good , I cried when they lost to the rams.
Damn, CC had some wild jets💨 and the routes were on point
4.3 in the 40yard dash. He was bad in high school as a quarterback then switched to receiver in college. A great athlete. People slept on him.
The original Adam Thielen.
Nah thielen is better
@@shaquille.oatmeal8907 way better
@shakespeare jeru No Pro Bowl selections either
I know what you meant. Don't worry about any insecure Vikes fans 🤣
@@shaquille.oatmeal8907 Thielen has not been in a Super Bowl
As a kid I remember thinking "this guy catches everything".
I see I was correct.
I concur
He was very quick and good at getting open. Made the pro bowl in his first 3 seasons including first team all pro in his first 3. That route at 1:32 was nasty
he had good hands too. didnt drop too many
No he was fast.
For real tho that move looks like modern moves that’s insanely impressive
Holy shit he was really good. Had no idea.
The amount of people who don’t know this guy played great STILL! Is mind boggling
I already liked him as a Commentator. But I have much more respect for this man now. Boy could he play!
Hes literally the worse commenter ever..Here's a guy who's grandma played track in Highschool so you know he's fast lol..thats all he does..hes a joker
Here's a guy who loves to say Here's a guy
@@map1537 lmfao and who's ur fav commentator
@@eddietrejos5203 not his ass i guess Tomy Romo lol n hes ight
@@map1537 you probably don’t have enough football iq to understand his play breakdowns so all you here is the other stuff he says
wooo wee cris was nice, for a 6'5 wr with that kind burst off the line impressive, had really good speed for his height too
Wow, never cared to check out Chris C, that dude played amazing. Kudos
Great compilation, Jay.
My wife started to get into football about five years ago. I was able to show her this video, to let her know CC is more than just the guy who slides in next to Al on Sunday nights.
Thank you Sludge!
Does she watch it often?
@@IWantToMature85 Every weekend.
@@sludge4125 maybe she has a crush on him
@@lizardman1303 No, she has me. No need for her to look at any other guy.
🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I remember watching him. He was a beast!
Good all around receiver. Had the size, speed, route running, and made some tough catches
He was constantly making me mad back in the day…..he was very good and I know they all play hurt but I think injuries played a big part in his career. I watched him play and to me….rooting against the Bengals…..it seemed like he was always open or always made that needed catch. Respect Chris.
Yo our beloved commentator was a beast in the nfl holy shit dawg
Ran a 10.0 100 yard dash in high school.
I was just gonna say, hes fast as fuck
But the fastest 40 yard dash is 4.22 and 100 yards is even longer
@@noahogle9740 Sorry, I understand your inquiry now.
You lose time at the start. You are starting from zero.
That’s why 4.2 in the 40 is phenomenal, while, say, 9.4 in the 100 is phenomenal.
10.0 in the hundred means you are *flying.*
@@unhhgcrxexhjvuvujchcrzwzwz7956 Ppl automatically assumed he was slow because he was white.Once they saw he had speed he gained the respect of opposing DBs.He was a 3A state champion.
@@dwightlove3704 facts
Collinsworth was a big target -- for his quarterback, AND for defensive backs who didn't like getting shown up by a skinny white guy. He took a lot of hits that are illegal now, but he kept coming back. If you only know him as a commentator, you don't know him.
I'm not a Cincinnati fan, but I remember him well. He smoked a lot of unsuspecting DBs especially his rookie year.
If it weren’t for the injuries, he would’ve been a clear HoF. Regardless, he still deserves to be there. Great guy, great football player, and absolutely amazing commentator.
@rezky wezky 👣 nah
@rezky wezky 👻 Nope
@rezky wezky 👻 he been the voice of the nfl since I was a kid
Hes a horrible commentator
Everyone that hates him just has low football iq and likes commentators like joe buck that dk shit about football lol
This was awesome. Watching his broadcast tonight made me remember how great of a player he was. Had to search the tube. Glad I found you.
It's like with Terry Bradshaw, you see him now you realize how did he win 4 Super Bowls then look at his highlights and say yeah Bradshaw was really that good. The same with Collingsworth, everyone likes to rag on him, but as a player he was really good. Got to play in 2 Super Bowls had multiple pro bowls. STILL the all time Bengals leading receiver. It's just he was really that good.
Still?
Cris is my cousin and I can tell ya he's as an amazing person off the field as he was a player on the field..
he a horrible announcer tho
Cap
Must suck living in your cousin shadow
He’s my dad
@@biged680, what makes you think that?
I have his rookie card. 1,007 receiving yards his rookie year. Impressive!
All American at Florida and 3 time All-Pro, put some respect on his name
Kids coming to CZcams on 1/16/21 (during the Buffalo/Ravens game) because Chris said he use to be a receiver. 😂
Now here’s a guy who can catch really well
I can barely watch the highlights, I’m more amazed they could play on those absolutely HORRID fields!
For me his greatest catch Nov 28, 1976, snow storm rolled in during half time, near zero visibility, quarterback through the bomb, Chris caught it over the shoulder in full flite down the sideline.
Boy had wheels! I forgot he played. I knew because my dad told me but he played before I was born. Dude was a baller though clearly.
Dude was catching dimes with no gloves
Fun to watch. Always liked the guy. Good to see him broadcasting.
I wanna see Al Michaels highlights now
Bro snagged catches without gloves too. Great plays.
Love ya collensworth👌
Chris Collinsworth is notorious raider hater Greg Townsend of the Raiders showed Chris his shiny Super Bowl ring
"Now here's a guy who can absolutely catch a football" 😂😂
Looked like a white Randy Moss. 6'5" and had wheels. I'm a young cat, I had no idea.
Street Fighter 2 was my first fighting game. You have no idea the flashbacks you hit me with
Now here's guy that when Kenny Anderson or Boomer needed a big play, he delivered!
This was the era of 45 step drop backs
Bingo
Damn bro really like that wtf 😭🤣
I have a original rookie autograph card from Chris collinsworth he came to KC and my dad's restaurant ill keep that card 4ever thank you chris
Now here's a guy!
He was a heck of a player
Good video. ..... Thanks for posting.
Wow that intro music dude
How did we watch football in that definition?
Best sports commentator
I’m 26 and am utterly shocked he once played ball.
He was legit & could ball!!
Yes I remember watching him play. Lol. I was a kid when he played.
Now heres a guy.
Underrated af 😳
Damn i had no idea he played ball until he mentioned it tonight, i had to see it for myself because i didnt believe it one bit 😂
Retired too soon.
Fiedel Banuelos His career ended due to knee injuries.
He was very good in his day no matter how ridiculous some of the takes are by PFF. He is a Hall of Fame caliber player who should definitely be remembered as such.
He OWNS PFF, dummy. Like actually owns the company.
@@MrCocoMocoLoco2 never said he didn't dummy
Nice.
Anyone who thinks Chris was a buster, never saw him play.👏👏real talk
Dude was good
He runs like a quarterback, and yet, somehow he made it work
He's was faster than most QB's.
@@da324 He better be. He was a reciever. 🤣🤣
Like him or not as an announcer...he was one hell of a reciever.
he had a good career. Had multiple 1000+ seasons and was named to a pro bowl. I was shocked to find out tbh
way better player than commentator, that's for sure.
I don't think he is bad at all. He knows the game and conveys it well. I think Romo is overrated. He looks good when he guesses on plays, but isn't always on.
He has good Hands as a Wide out
3:15 "the catch" Chris Collinsworth was an awesome NFL wide receiver and is now a premier NFL broadcaster. There are some awesome Christian men and women in the NFL and in broadcasting and it's really wonderful.
Now here's a guy...
Now here’s a guy that can beat you in a bunch of ways
1:31 daaaaayum
Big bird looks juiced to fuckking gills. Respekt. Solid unit.
I remember later in career he had T Rex arms. I also remember his mouth making me mute the TV.
dude was fast
AKA The Noodle Caboodle
Now here’s a guy who loves glazing!
Cool
I'm like...is this the same guy that's a commentator?
The good ol days when they didn't use gloves
Now he just glazes mahomes every game
That’s my young bul
Collinsworth was nice
Collinsworth gets alot of shit, but dude was a beast of a receiver. This video shows you, plus go check his stats I think he had 4 or 5, 1000 yard receiving seasons. He had back to back 1000 yard seasons too
Wow
Watching him catch was like watching an artist back in the day.
Love colinsworth uh oh when brady fumbled. That little comment ill always remember for some reason
Man my old lady loved brady when he was with the pats and she always got pissed at the comments cris made about him, then when our aunt passed away several years ago she got to meet him and first thing she did was light into him about it..lol..I always tease her about him making nicer comments about him after that ,told her she scared both of us..lol
@@vbhall3407 lmaooo that's great. I still do like Collinsowrth though lol.. And rest in paradise to your Grandmother man 🙏 sounds like an amazing woman
yes, your son is dumbfounded that the Sports caster is that good !
Damn that qb throwing bombs to him and that defense really tryin to hurt him
He had two great QB's throwing to him in these clips. Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason
