The Cursed Search For King Tut's Tomb

- King Tutankhamun's importance in life has been eclipsed by his passing - or, more accurately, by his burial. When Howard Carter found King Tut's tomb in 1922, it led to the most substantial find of ancient Egyptian artifacts in history. Carter spent years detailing the contents of King Tut's tomb, removing each item for future research and investigation. The discovery of King Tut's tomb was so important that it continues to influence and shape historical understanding of ancient Egypt, the pharaohs, burial practices, and King Tut himself.

Narrator, your voice and delivery is fine. Just get the writing staff to make scripts that allow you to have a unique style.
😅 way to take someone’s comment
my thoughts exactly. sounds like the jokes and banters were never meant to be delivered by him. the timing is off, predictable and he sounded like he's just reading a script.
@@giancarlovelandrez3413 the script was definitely written for the OG narrator. This one just needs some coaching to learn how to deliver jokes. He’s too ridged and needs to relax
Actually, his nasal voice is annoying. Sorry.
It’s pretty disturbing how they took off the death mask. If it was so well attached it wasn’t meant to be removed. Why not leave it with the body where it belonged? Greed probably.
to properly examine the mummy underneath I'd imagine
This is so aggravating. I wish they'd found this more recently. The lack of care, greed, and brute-force they dealt with the tomb is unsettling and how much was lost to time because of their ham-fisted 'science' back then. No clean rooms, no protection.. probably using hammers and chisels to open things. Tossing crap on the ground. So disrespectful. Makes the whole curse feel worth it as karma.
Actually, most of the pyramids were looted by the Egyptian people. Very few were taken over like this by non-Egyptian exhibitions.
Not that it helps your aggravation, but it was mainly the people who took their ancestors' riches.
My point was, comparably the archeologists did a much more careful and documented job than any of the looters. Obviously.
Everything was carefully treated and chronicled.
@@forestxander lol
Also read the tomb was legit cursed like how do you walk past the don’t touch my stuff with that logic 😂
Just an FYI (should anyone ever wish to say it), Carnarvon has the emphasis on the second syllable. car-NAR-von. HTH! 😊
One yes! I just commented that I winced every time
Ok, I was wondering, is he saying it wrong or are we?
Egyptians were pulling Hapsburg sexy time before the Hapsburgs Hapsburg’d.
😂
At that time it was not known that poisonous gas like substance existed in chambers if the knowledge was there the curse thing would have never happened
Lk that adds up with the environment giving off a sus energy there 😂
First time I've gotten through a video with the new narrator, and he's shown improvement. He just needs to not be so monotone and put some personality into his delivery.
Part of the important details were left iut. What was realized was that the man that discovered Tut's tomb noticed the large pile of rock debri he noticed the cliff above appeared to have been struck by lighting. Then the debris was being removed and also then realized that there had been many floodings therefore causing caking of soil within the rock debris. This was actually a good thing because that helped sealed the tomb better.
The tomb was a rush job as King Tut death was unexpected at age c.18. Even when the tomb was painted, someone apparently was checking to see if the paint was dry, a fingerprint was left behind.
What I think are two very interesting finds with King Rut is a double edged sword made from a meteorite. The other is a yellow glass ring. The yellow glass as it turned out is from when a meteorite hit in the desert of Egypt; the heat from this turn the sand into yellow glass
I saw Tuts Treasures at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. 1977
So cool!
Cool.
You should check out the British Museum. They own the majority of all Egyptian artifacts. The ones you saw were probably on loan from the British.
@@nickc247 I don't live there.
@@petej.8676 The good news is travel around the world exists!
Wait what! His mom writing his name on his clothes threw me off a bit, sorta wholesome.
Joke
6:20 actually its unlikely Tut actually rode the chariots as due to his club feet riding a chariot would've been impossible.
I've seen his mummy and his feet were so crooked, no wonder he needed that many canes. Also, there's no way he was 5'11 as his mummy is much smaller than that.
@@linda10989 could be shrinkrage over the years though. I've heard rumours that the bog man that's famous from Ireland or Scotland has also gotten smaller because its no longer in the perfect conditions. So maybe its 5'11 at the time of discovery but over the last 100 years its shrunk.
This is the best I’ve heard this narrator. The writers were smart to write in his style and not like the other one we love. Great job great video.
Thank you for saying that about Steve Martin's King Tut song! Now i dont feel as weird or alone about singing it the first couple of minutes and having to start the video over. 😂
Fuckin hell I thought he was gone. Sad too such a interesting topic
Where'd our man go!? I hope he is jusy on vacay❤
No hate to this narrator. He is good too.
Most interesting item in King Tut's tomb: walking stick #37.
There’s an article in National Geographic once detailing new discovery with that tomb and the stick was mentioned
This guy sounds like the regular guy on helium. 😂
10:02 Still feels weird when you find out whom his parents were.
The most educated people do the strangest things. "Boinkin'" your sister... WEIRD
Pz stop saying go back to the other guy. That guy as the right to have a day off. And think about how it must feel for the guy doing the video.
😂
Are you stupid? Do you really think they're uploading these the same day they're recorded?
They would get a bunch of scripts together and spend an entire work day recording videos. Which are then edited and gradually uploaded. Most channels have content recorded 3-6 months out unless it's a new channel that has to rush to report on current events
😅
They could just not upload to give him a day off. No need to use a different narrator that a majority of subscribers to this channel dislike
The original guy is smarmy af. Sounds like Phil Hartman as Troy McClure. Focus on the content folks.
That would be aunt mom and uncle daddy. 🤢
I'm my own Uncle LOL 😜
Why are you deleting comments? Work on improving and hundreds of people won’t complain! People are just used to the cadence of the other narrator!
CZcams has been having problems with comments lately. A lot are getting deleted or there's a lag before they post. It could be that.
The narrator sounds like the guy from Adam knows everything
He is from the groundlings
First of all, who is this horrendous narrator. Your “jokes” were so bad, im having difficulty expressing it. And the video is named “why tutenkahumen tomb it cursed” which you in NO WAY spoke about
Unsubscribed
They found a crystal dagger in the tomb as well as a scabbard made from a meteor in there.
It's interesting to read comments on youtube. It was where I first discovered that a man and a woman aren't the only things that can make babies- the internet makes a lot of whiny little babies too.
This comment deserves more likes
It has mine,
@dsxa918 your comment has my like, lol.
You have mine.
Yess😂
GREAT reading and GREAt video! I did not know about all these facts about TUT. Epecially his health...crazy.
Egyptian artwork never ceases to amaze me. The detail is intricate and beautiful. Fascinating and phenomenal.⚰️🏺
Pretty cool stuff
I m addicted to that voice ,,, he is not one disappointed
Aunt mom and Uncle dad.
I would like to know more about tomb raiders and where the treasures they stoled are now? Is it known where any of the pieces are?
His name was Tut Ankh Amun.
His name was Robert Paulson
this was one of the few things i recall leaning in school
I don’t know if this other narrator is just around to take over when OG needs a break, or if he’s being groomed to replace him.
I'd like a condo made of stone-a.
I'm only here because I'm interested in King Tut.... The narrator not so much I know the original one can't do it ALL but keep my interest young buck!
Idk if you guys changed writes for this host but much better delivery and presentation this time around, much easier to listen to and less cringy😅
The artwork, honestly. To sculpt the way they did. Oh, and their color blue.
I need to know more about Australia obsession in the 80s?😮
Other Guy please 🥺
It should be noted that Lord Carnarvon had been suffering from poor health ever since he was in a car accident. So he was much more susceptible to getting an infection from a mosquito bite.
Interesting 🧐
CaNARvon
if you read this i wish nothing but positivity for you keep working and pushing through you will be successful! Prayers up blessings up! 🙏🏽
0:17 Speaking of Pharoh...
I watched the original King Kong vs. Godzilla film last night (after it being referenced on Weird History), fantastic film!
King Kong lived on the island Faro, which is pronounced the same as Pharoh.
I got worms 🪱🪱
some people just aren't born with that natural radio/anchor/narrator voice that project well over the air, like our og weird history dude. at least this guy isn't as annoying as that female one, whose zingers never land
Of the first 285 comments to this video, 188 (or 66%) are about the narration and not the actual topic. Of those, I count only 35 (or 19%) who either support this narrator or seem indifferent as to who should narrate. It seems as if an 81% rate of discontent would cause a change. That's even lower than our congressional approval ratings where we also continually fail to make needed changes.
Y'all get more upset about having a different narrator once every few episodes than I did when Steve left Blues Clues. Chill out. The original narrator deserves a break, and this guy does a great job too.
Omg I did not need to be reminded of that tragedy 😢
When the world says,
Give up.
Hope whispers..
Try it one more time.
King Tutankhamun
@weird history... no offence but you're pronouncing carnarvon wrong it's not carnar-von, c-nar-von
Craziest thing I saw when I saw his exhibit in Berlin were the tons of fetuses that died, and each had their own tiny sarcophagi.

I cannot even watch this. I don't know who this narrator is but we need the old narrator back
Ooh can’t wait to watch this after work
King Tutankhamun was murdered by Horemheb and Ay. He didn't die from an accident or illness.
Pics or it didn't happen.
Where’s the other narrator
If people only knew the narrator was the one and only Michael Swaim
I liked Swaim on After Hours. But he’s hopped around to a lot of different things the last few years. He was at IGN for a bit and I thought he said he was trying to get into video game writing. I recognized the voice immediately. But to me it just doesn’t fit with this channel. Maybe I’ll get used to it…🤷🏾♂️
I recognized his voice immediately!
Who?!? Never heard of him and don't care
Wheres the OG narrator??
This narrator sucks use AI to do the other guys voice.
Been waiting for a video like this and it just had to be the other narrator dude when the best and main one has been doing it more often again
Are you going to be okay? If you care more about a narrator's voice than the actual content, you might need some help. It isn't normal. We're all worried now.
@@timthegem are we?
This narrator’s voice will put you to sleep 😒😴
Aw. Where's the original narrator.
Disrespectul. I know we have a cultural tolerance for mummies that allows us cognitive dissonance, but these were people.
Wth happened to the other guy?!? This narrator is bland, unfunny and off-putting
I don't think time makes it ok to grave rob. idk. it isn't archaology to actively seek out bodies from graves. leave them to rest.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! What a fascinating topic and video...King Tut!
I miss the narrator :( my mental health doesn’t like change haha
Damn! I was so hoping they let this guy go.
Grave robbing is always disgusting. Maybe they got a bit of Karma, there.
Any time I hear the Millhouse voice I cancel and move on.

8:32 The "Australian Invasion" of popular culture in the 80s included Crocodile Dundee, Olivia Newton-John, The Mad Max franchise, Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Mel Gibson, Foster's beer, and Outback Steakhouse.
I hate the way he pronounces Carnarvon.
3:30 Speaking of waterboys...the film Waterboy was released in 1998, the year I graduated high school.
In the film, Adam Sandler plays Bobby Boucher.
The last coach I had in high school was Red Boucher (in 1998) and years later the track around the football field was named Boucher.
Ehh, wrong narrator
This guy is a solid narrator. No complaints. Good job.

I dont care they are using s different narrator i just want to know why they fired him? Did he quit?

8:22 I watched the original The Mummy last month, great film!
It was recommended by The Cobwebs Channel on YT.
The Mummy is part of the Universal Monsters, a phenomena explained on The Cobwebs Channel.
His parents were full siblings! 🤮🤮🤮🤮
We'll never know for certain ... it's more likely it was a father-daughter union as this was very common. Rameses II married quite a few of his own daughters
