This was a really interesting idea. I've always considered hooking up my PC to my TV. But for some reason, I've got it in my head that I need to sit at a desk when playing PC games.
Yeah that makes sense though. I never really got into the modern gaming on my PC scene, so I think that's why I don't feel like it needs to be at a desk if that makes sense. I do have a gaming desktop but I rarely ever use it for that purpose. It's more my adobe premiere pro machine lol
This was fun! It's cool to see a little behind the scenes setup an stuff that goes on when you're just hanging and working in your game rooms :). Hope Scratches was a blast!!
I'm terrible for filming behind the scene stuff and we're equally terrible for filming pickups because we tend to just live in the moment which is not conducive to having a CZcams channel lol. It was fun to be able to share all the behind the scenes stuff as well and scratches was a lot of fun. I have plans to play way more games on my new old setup
Oh yes, Windows Vista was the bane of everyone's existence. Totally get that. Happy I could help. We couldn't find a lot on CZcams when we were researching our issue. So I figured hey why not make a video about it and help other people.
What a great tutorial! I know that you're not the only one who was looking at learning how to do it so I'm sure a bunch of viewers will be thanking you in the future! The most scary thing in that video is going back to Windows Vista LOL! I see that I have Scratches on Steam but I'm not sure if I bought it because you recommended it (probably) or if I already had it. Although I have a CRT tv, it's an older model so it doesn't have the PC connection in the back. One day I'll get a nice Trinitron or something similar to try to connect an old PC to it just for the fun of it! I already connect my new PC to my TV but with HDMI so that's way easier! Great video and keep up the good work!
Yes, having a turn of Tron is such a nice piece of tech. We have four CRT TVs. One from pretty much every generation I think. Vista has been mentioned a few times in the comments lol. I think a lot of us were pretending that era of computing didn't happen.
It would be fun to do more of these, but as you can see they don't do well, although that never really stopped us from filming any other video that doesn't do well either lol
First off, a 2007 PC running Vista is not an old computer, anything after a 486 running Windows 98 is far too modern for me 😂 Well done on replacing the power supply m and CMOS battery 👍 and that must have been a nightmare for Scott navigating those menus preset on PAL 😱 There are so many great games available to you now with that little machine, si well worth all the trials and tribulations 😎👍
Well, well touche! You have a good point. I figured I could probably get it to work because I've messed with my old desktops numerous times replaced things upgraded other things. Apparently I just don't have the knack with a laptop. I'll break those every time 😂😂😂 I'm very excited to see what other games I can get into. I'm definitely keeping my eyes peeled at the thrift stores
I'm typically pretty good at fixing stuff except for that one time I broke my very expensive gaming laptop. Thankfully it was just the screen so it's hooked up to our TV in the basement
Hi, just started watching your channel, cool video I did that once I think I had the same ctr tv, I don't remember how I hooked the video to the tv but the audio I used a cable that one end had a red & white RCA plugs and the other end had a 3.5 mm jack.you should have a audio input on the back or front of tv,and where you plug your speakers in the 3.5mm should go helps
Yes, we're going to definitely have to get behind there and see if there's a way to hook up the audio at the time. We were just trying to put it together and get it running and we had so many issues that I just said just plug it into the computer for now

So Jen, you're the perfect person to ask--Have you played American McGee's first Alice game??? It's been stuck on PC for a long time... and it would work on your snazzy set up. Let me know if you'd want me to send it your way? I don't have the big box, just the jewel case and discs, but I used it and loved it
Well not yet but I have a sneaking suspicion that mother's Day is just around the corner and I've been talking about it so... If I don't get it from Mother's Day I would feel bad if you sent it to me because that's a piece of history in my mind and super special. I would just hate to see you give it up.

Good job. Have fun. At work, I have to mess with the old antique computer from the 80s with the floppppyyy disk because the machine is over 50 years old. It's older than me. The company didn't bother to upgrade it because it's a backup machine to a is 25 year old auto machine. Here is what I say to newer generation. Please learn to type. There are video game softwares to help people with enhancing typing skill. I could type about 55 words a minute. My sister could type 100 words a minute. I set it up on the computer for my 10 year old daughter to play it. It sorta like space invader game with typing.
