- Showing concrete sealer being applied. Discussing the differences between Epoxy and urethane.
Just a video showing the prep and products involved in applying putting a shop logo down on the floor using automotive paint products with a cheap hvlp gun and sealing the logo and entire floor in a 2 part catalyzed urethane.

Thanks for the helpful video and we're glad to see you're pleased with your products. We appreciate your business and hope you continue to enjoy your floor!
Thank you very much! You just quickly, simply, and logically answered my question concerning epoxy coat or sealer! I have a small office (120 SF) that I just want a clean shiny concrete floor (new concrete floor).
I just had a 36x48 polebarn floor poured and the guy applied a cure and seal. He said you have to wait 30 days to apply anything else. I guess Ill have to do some grinding for anything to adhere to like you did. cool vid thanks.
had epoxy and sealer, sealer is way easier to apply and maintain I like it much better
Good timely information for my own concrete. Thanks. Doug
I like the way you put your sign in the concrete.
+1970chevelle396 thanks Ken
HI Gary,
Your logo and floor look GREAT! The shop is coming along very nice.
Take Care,
Reid
+Reid Eichner Hi Reid, thanks man, appreciate you watching.
I think you made the right decision Gary. I love my epoxy floors but I'm always taking precautions when working on them and for hobby stuff that's fine but in a shop environment like you have there I don't think it would be practical.
+Double R Restorations Thanks Russ, yea the Urethane was scratched up this week by the guys working on the AC stuff, and I just took some water and wiped it away the white chalky powder off the scratched area and it blended right in, can't tell it. Like you said, the epoxy is beautiful, but just harder to keep looking good in a harsh environment. I think both Lowes and Home Depot use urethane on their ground concrete floors.
Nice job! Picked up some good tips for my floor from this!
+Keith Rucker - VintageMachinery.org Thanks Keith, hope it was helpful, looking forward to see what you end up doing with your floor. Thanks for all the great videos!

+Tom Noble Thanks Tom
Turned out very nice Gary.
Thanks for this video. This product is EXACTLY what I havent been able to find until now. I wanted a black or dark colored concrete without using the crap epoxies sold in stores, or atleast be able to put a sealer on top of it for durability. Direct Colors has dark concrete stain AND dark concrete stain sealer! :-D
nice update Gary your moving right along

Great project mate. End result is spot on. I want to do this look myself, to me it's a nice aesthetic. High polished concrete doesn't appeal to me, but this does. Can you suggest any further instructional sources?
Nice Shop. Floor looks good.

The best local epoxy or urethane product comes from Sherwin William commercial stuff. I use EpoxyCoat but I prefer SW over online products
+StockVideoFootage Agree with you on SW commercial line being the best locally. I do have a sherwin williams near me. Sometimes there people don't always know a lot about their products,, seems hit and miss from store to store.
floor looks good
+Jim Rowlings Thanks Jim
Thanks for the video! We are getting to ready to do a large concrete floor in our barn. …
Do you mind telling me where are you got the stencil for your logo? I need to have a stencil made of my logo and have not been able to find a place to have that done in a large size. Thanks
Beautiful logo.
+SidewaysInTraffic Thanks man

+Shut Yer Face Garage #thanks-sir
Great tips thanks
Looks good !
Do NOT use water based anything if you’re coating a shop floor for cars, floor jacks, heavy equipment, or you will be redoing it.
Sika-flex makes a great brutal based? Epoxy that can survive automotive use if prepped correctly.
looks great
+Chris Mansker Thanks Chris
looks great little by little later
Looks like a full slip surface but a nice effect Gary.
+ZIGgassedUP lol, yea it's pretty smooth,
Do concrete floor coatings delaminates due to effervescence?
I want to do my living room
+jamesfreddys effervescence can be a factor unless you clean it good with fabuloso czcams.com/video/vIrWGP8mewo/video.html
+🔥Ramsey Customs - turbocobra oh my goodness is that why you're hermaphroditiing? Lol

What are the dimensions of your shop again?
+mcinkyt 40X80
why not colour the concrete and then seal it I know company's that do that and then add logo and seal it
+Bleu Wolf Good question and good point, you can easily color the floor and seal over it, i was just trying to go with the least expensive option as there are close to 3,000 sq ft to cover, but your right you could definitely put a color down.
Ramsey, If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend to do 3000 sq ft?
nice
+Robert Gwinn Thanks sir.
Yawn. Played it at 2X speed and it was still too slow.
Great advice but get more confident and comfortable speaking cause this was so difficult to listen to with constant pauses and ummmms 🤦🏽♂️
you talk to much
And you dont know how to use proper grammar, come on dude, if your going to leave a comment criticizing me, at least get it right! "too much" not "to much"
Yeah but at least he has something useful to share, as opposed to your criticism... that's like me saying, "you don't use pronunciation", only difference being your comment is opinion, and mine would be factually based. Lol!
With both of the criticisms being utterly useless.
