I feel the same about sunflowers!
Sunflowers are definitely for August (for me), along with dried wheat stems. At the end of August/beginning of September, I bring out apples!

YES! I feel the same way about sunflowers! I think of August and even into September for them. I absolutely adore the transition time between late summer and early autumn! I decorate with a lot of yellows in my home during this time and truly soak it all in! As much as I love fall, I try not to hurry the seasons! 😀

I agree with you about the sunflowers. In the old, celtic calender August 1st is the first day of Autumn and I think it does feel like that here in the UK with the first harvest and the ripening berries

I wish y’all could send some rain over this way! It’s been really hot and dry here in the Appalachian mountains of VA ☹️ Garden vegetables are not doing well and the hay is not growing for a second cutting for our livestock. I’m still enjoying summer though! I think exactly the same as you about sunflowers. I used sunflowers in my wedding many moons ago lol
We could exchange some rain for sunshine, my roses and pumpkins could do with a little bit of sun 🤎
