What's truly amazing is that several Whatnot sellers were auctioning these two days ago, and they were selling between 400 and 500 dollars. Buyers were having them open the box live only to reveal mostly coins worth at best 150. I watched for two hours as these were sold and saw 2 red slabs with coins worth a little more, maybe 300 to 500.
For the life of me I can't understand why people were paying these insane prices, far above retail value. Personally I would buy two, but only at msrp and only because my dream coin is the 09 S VDB in a nice mint state condition.
looks like fun, but i like a surer thing. Like a Nice Steak or Rib Roast
Ouch! I hope when I get mine I have better luck but at least I know what the floor(or hopefully not far off) is.

I would prefer to just use that $478. dollars to buy $478, dollars worth of silver coins of My choice and you'd almost never get ripped off going that way! 😊

I was upset that I missed out on the round table release but now seeing what you got good thing I forgot to check the group 😂 I tried the public release too but servers stopped me from buying them
I would have thought that the Morgan was still worth more than the Kennedy half…..guess I learned something

Great Job on the Video!!! I know lots of people take risks on surprise boxes, but I think this coming from a big company such as NGC is almost dishonest on their part. I am having trouble figuring out how NGC doing this is different than the TV Infomercials selling clad coins as investments or Morgans by the Pound.

So the general public has to slug it out on an overloaded website to try and buy while a special “dealer group” gets their order in ahead of time? Is that fair?
The Vault Box owners are in the dealer group. Only 100 boxes were allotted in the presale. They did that to test the website so they could fix any problems before the official release.

I don’t like the grading companies selling coins that they have graded. This is no better then the guys selling coins on TV.
You do know that Vaultbox is a 3rd party company who is simply using NGC to grade the coins for them for resale? NGC has nothing to do with this gamble.

I don’t like the presale of these to be honest. Reduces the ability for the everyday man.
The presale was limited to 100 boxes within the private dealer only group that has nearly 1000 members. Strict limit of 2 per person so very few of us got in on the presale.
It is gambling.
This seems like a scam , Your paying for a box and a holder in the hopes it will go up? Nobody's paying $300 for a 64 half or nice common coins or bullion. In my opinion a MS70 AE is still worth $35.
So when can normal people actually be able to buy one?
