Just found the podcast due to budget overland. Started at the beginning and at episode 43. Thanks for the great content. Me and my 04 Sequoia (OAKie) thank you.
@@SnailTrail4x4 went to the place and did the thing, radiator armor did make a difference on painted rock. Got a pretty gnarly line and wasn't able to go forward or reverse so I got pulled out. Got snagged on my lower links a few times but they are solid so just surface scratches. Would do it again!
Hey Jimmy. I'm just getting into 4x4ing and the truck is have is a 2x4 95 taco. I was wondering what mods it would take to turn it into a 4x4. Im thinking this is a similar project to samantha and thought you could help. Also I am planning on getting a salvage 4x4 for the parts. Do u know what years would work? I am a fan of both ur youtube and podcast and am working through ur episodes. I realised that my truck would have a 7.5 in rear axle. Is that reliable for 4x4ing? Where i live there is no rock crawling but a lot of trails that have some difficulties. Keep doing what ur doing. Thanks
I'd get another Tacoma with the same engine for your parts truck, from there you're going to need possibly a new transmission, the transfer case, some of the front suspension since it is now a four-wheel drive and I would replace the rear axle to become a little stronger

@@SnailTrail4x4 he's messing with you 😂
Yes, Having some good ole fun..
It’s good to see some fun trails, trails don’t always have to so hard to be enjoyable. Looks like a good day of fun with friends
It definitely was. It had some hard lines that everyone doesn't have to do, and some sections that were kinda difficult that would be required
a tip: watch movies on kaldroStream. Been using it for watching loads of movies lately.
@Axl Parker Yup, been watching on Kaldrostream for years myself =)
Are those 35x12.5 on the access cab Tacoma? Give specs brother you’re trucks are rad AF
Looks like a fun day out.
It was nice to get out and explore, This was a trail that I have never done before.
I almost rode my dirtbike down strawberry pass last weekend. :)
I miss the views.
Its beautiful up there
Another great video, Jimmy. Cool to see the trail, the variety of rigs, and the smoky view from the lookout. Keep up the great work. 🍻
Really great video keep them coming!!!
Brilliant video Jimmy! Love seeing the scenery around California, only rain and sheep in fields when I'm offroading here in England... 🤘
I didn't know they let you go offroading in England?
@@SnailTrail4x4 LOL

Did we? Yeah it was a few weeks before this video
Perfect use for the GoPro Max! I almost think my Tundra could do this trail.
Definitely! Lets try
Beautyfull truck bro.. saludos desde Los cabos Mexico!!
Gracias
@@SnailTrail4x4 ustedes no vienen a mexico en overland ??
How does this compare signal peak - Jeep jk on 33’s did signal peak with no issues. What would think about this trail?
What direction did you go up signal peak? I think a jeep on 33s can do this trail, just have some rock sliders and skidplates
Going out there this Saturday with a 3rd gen 4runner on 33s and open diffs, wish me luck!
Hope you have rock protection
@@SnailTrail4x4 got mostly stock armor with a beefy radiator skid and rock sliders

@@andyvang2522 yup, had sliders, didn't even touch then though. Radiator skid got a little rub though ha!
You have a GPX file you can share of the route you took?
I have a 85 toyota with 32s dual cases, 4.88s and lockers front and rear. Do you think I could make it through?
Do you have sliders?
@@SnailTrail4x4 no sliders yet
@@chrisramirez9830 -- I would definitely have sliders and possibly some skid plate protection before you do this Trail
