Who else is excited for the upcoming Elantra N?! We liked this prototype a LOT! But we actually found the DCT more interesting to drive. Which transmission would you get? 6-speed MT or 8-speed DCT?

Yes, I am excited! I am a little bummed though... I have a 2018 Elantra Sport w/DCT and premium package that is leased. The lease is up in April of next year. Originally I was planning to move to the the full Elantra N that was going to be a 2021 release, but now I'm seeing it has been pushed to 2022. That leaves me in a little quandary unless they will extend my lease a bit until I can get an Elantra N when they come out. My only other options I was thinking about is moving to the midsize Sonata N Line, but I like the way the Kia K5 GT looks better... 🤔

I just test drove the 6 speed Elantra N-Line. It was fun...the 1.6 turbo is a peppy little mill...but it handles like a normal (aka pedestrian) compact sedan. I’m going to wait for the N. And when comparing to other competitors, don’t forget, the Hyundai will have that unbeatable 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Thanks Sofyan, for another fun review.
