I just spent 1.5 minutes of my life watching someone wave fabric around and I consider than time very well-spent.
Hehehehe! 😁
I saw your comment then watched the video and I was like “omg she’s right!” 🤣
the fabric is soooo prettyyyy 😫🦋
Feeling exactly the same. It was super satisfying 💚
Ok, now I kinda want to cosplay Katara just to buy some of this fabric to use for "waterbending" in photos
I was about to comment that she looked like she was water bending.
It would make a great cosplay
YES
A very expensive cosplay though
This is straight up the definition of gossamer worn by the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend. I love it. Haha
Yes! That’s the perfect word for it!
That’s what I was thinking
I'd love to have a ballet skirt made out of this fabric. It's made for dance wear!
YES! The perfect dancing fabric!!
I would watch that for hours
Do you know of any dance videos that feature costuming in this? I'd love to see it move on a dancer!
@@sheenajae The only costumer I’ve heard of using it is the Paris Opera House.
A romantic ballet skirt made from this would be heavenly
The way that fabric moves thooo... Looks like something straight out of a fairytale
The way it moves really reminds me of Harry Potter's invisibility cloak
Yes!! I had a similar thought ❤️
Absolutely!
Ooh, I was trying to think of what it reminded me of and you got it!
YES
it reminds me of the wisps in the pensieve
This reminds me of something I heard about in passing, that somewhere in Asia (I think it was India), several centuries ago, there was a fabric known as “Woven Wind” and that it was so sheer and so lightweight that 1) it was still sheer when folded over 7 times
2) it could be drawn through a ring without any effort
I just read about this in passing and I don’t know ANYTHING more, but this brought it to mind so strongly I just HAD to comment
That's so neat, thanks for sharing!
this sounded really cool so i had to find more info. it was a type of incredibly fine muslin, often referred to as Dhaka Muslin. the wikipedia article on muslin refers to a book "The Textile Manufactures and the Costumes of the People of India" (1875) that fully examines different examples of muslin of the time. the absolute finest piece, called King's Muslin, was roughly 8 grams per yard. the next finest quality was called "Running Water" and included a story about an emperor angry with his daughter for how sheer her outfit was to show her skin and she replied that she was wearing 7 outfits. and this was all done with cotton! just incredible
@@beachhotdog wow! That's really interesting :o
For the last time please....don't think India everytime if someone mention asia.there is other country too which is in Asia.and yes you are taking about Bangladeshi muslin and it's a south Asia country
Now that I see the fabric I can see what you’ve been talking about. I’d be afraid to touch it let alone cut it.
Omg yes I'd be so scared to cut it 🙈
Same
It's like a dream came true. I would be afraid to breathe on something so delicate, it's like water or smoke, just mindblowing. This dress is going to be SO incredible! Can't wait!
Yes, it's a little daunting...but honestly, with it being polyester, I feel most safe with it because it still feels strong, even though its so thin! I feel like silk gauze is way more delicate!
So at the end of the movie I remember thinking the veil MUST be CG. Seeing you play with it, though, I am probably wrong and I am SHOOK
Oh, true....I hadn't thought of that before! But yes, must have been some of this fabric!
YES ! THAT VEIL ! i looove this veil , i was searching in bridal boutiques if you can find something similar but i think you would have to have it custom made with "super organza" or yumissima , and i think i will do it if i ever get maried ! it give such a mesmerizing effect in the movie , as if she have a veil made of wind :o
if this is - like - 20 minutes of you, playing around with the fabric, I'm not mad about that. LOL
Same
i was thinking the exact same thing! LOL! :)
With what she paid for it, I’d spend forever plying with it. Oh, and the cutting anxiety would be REAL! It’s likely just as bad as antique lace. Just... I don’t have the nerve to cut it.
@@katherinemorelle7115 right? but luckily she knows what she's doing with the cinderella dress, so fingers crossed for no cutting anxiety ❤ can't wait to see her using the fabulous super organza!!!
I will most definitely have some cutting anxiety with this stuff! 😅
This video really highlights that fabric quality varies, and buying good fabric is a good investment. It’s gorgeous - ethereal
That is the most magical fabric I have ever seen. It's so beautiful. That draping/fabric movement sequence reminded me of 80s fantasy movies, like Labyrinth or Princess Bride.
The Labyrinth Gown! That's another beautiful gown.
i wonder how it will behave under a sewing machine though with that slippery texture. i’m sure you will do a wonderful job though so good luck!
Me too...we shall see how it fairs!
Bella Maes Designs tissue paper! My old sewing machine’s manual even says to use it because back then walking feet or Teflon coated feet didn’t exist yet. “Basting [the tissue paper to the top] by hand my be required but will end any slip or unintended gather”
@@vysharra oh yes, I agree that it could be a good solution! My grandmother used to do this for all sorts of really delicate fabrics!
@@vysharra I'd forgotten all about that technique, but it works really well!!
not me debating making my wedding gown so I can use this fabric.
+
Me too
Literally me too lol embarking on a Whole New journey! lol thank God I have time for my wedding dress because I’m still single lol
This fabric is absolutely dazzling...🧚♀️
This must be what fairies clad themselves in. I am sure your skilled hands will use it well to craft this beautiful gown.
Goodness, super organza is like if smoke was a fabric 😳
It's the Joann's Ghost Organza!!!!!!!!!! Like 5 or 7 years ago when I still worked there they got in a bolt of grey and a bolt of white fabric that was just like this. I have jealously hoarded the cuts I got of it since then. They never restocked and never brought it back in following years. I have been seaching for it for literal years!
The joanns i work at has some! Just got a bolt of white Tuesday!
I thought I was the only one with the precious!
@@savannahezelle2998 do you have a link to it by chance?
@@dontask6263 I have no idea if we even still carry it. We just had a huge job marking tons of things clearance for spring collections
Woah, this fabric seems impossible. Like it's made of spiderwebs or it's not fabric at all it's water floating through space.
Do you think Cinderella's wedding veil was made of the yummisa-thingy fabric? Doesn't it move similarly when Ella lifts it to walk out onto the balcony?
Someone mentioned that earlier and I hadn't thought of it before, but looking at it again, it could be!!
I can't wait for the dress to be done! The fabric looks amazing 😮😮
Me too!!
i guessed 20. this was amazing. it floats like a ghost. lovely.
That's my guess, too!
👏 It really is....just incredible!
@@BellaMaesDesigns I somehow missed the reason why you were not able to buy the actual Yumissima. Is it even more expensive?
@@johannageisel5390 I think the actual Yumissima is $150/m (or yard), also it was even more difficult to find, I think. She goes through it in one of her dress breakdown videos.
@@katherinemorelle7115 Thank you.
When you finish, you MUST take this dress on tour. It will be simple! Really. We book places that have lots and lots of parking. Then, put up the runway for you to walk back and forth on. (All participants have to agree to have their hands tied behind their backs so they can't touch as you swan by.) Music and lighting would be great, but it is not a deal breaker. :) What do you think? :) Yes????
Haha, I love this so much! 💙 Maybe...one day! 😁
I would pay high money to watch that but I do require TWIRLING, please
Oh, so I guessed 12 meters. I was pretty close!
But this fabric is insane!!! It looks like it could be used for movie ghosts or something cause of how float-y it is
Yay! That's pretty close! I know, it totally could be!
I seriously love the tone and style you have built for yourself in your videos. It’s elegant and well structured, as you have shown yourself to be, while also being relatable, humorous, and at times silly. Your videos are amazing to watch, and seeing your artistic abilities combining with your super fun personality makes for incredibly entertaining videos, that have been amazing stress relievers during this pandemic. I’m so glad you took to CZcams, and I can’t wait to see the finished product of this dress!! I kept thinking the movement of that fabric was in slow motion😂😂
Awwwwwww, your comment had made my day! Thank you! 💙💙💙 I'm so happy to be sharing!
And I know...gah, it's so amazing!
This fabric looks like a forbidden snack. I haven't seen anything quite as supple and soft, except maybe in the silk district in Suzhou, China. Thanks for the video! Have fun with your new fabric :)
There is a museum exibition in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil that is basically this fabric moving in the wind by itself forever on end. It's mesmerizing! The museum is called Museu do Amanhã.
Oh my goodness! The movement of this fabric is stunning. I also loved how excited you are about it. This made me smile so much :3
I just open the video and wow, that looks like literal water wdf
I know...it's just amazing!
one can already tell that the fabric is super expensive. first just by looking at it and then because the website doesn't have prices listed (or that much info at all)
I completely understand wrapping yourself it it! I've done that before with fabric I love! I guessed 10 meters per.
It's just a completely nature thing to do....:) Close!
Absolutely gorgeous. In my dream bedroom, this is the curtains, billowing in the springtime breeze ... #Heavenly
I'm so glad you were able to get the fabric you had your heart set on! It's going to be SO PRETTY!!
It is soo beautiful! It's like fresh water directly from the mountains and a light summer breeze woven into this fabric!😍
OMGGGG I just figured something out!!! 😱😱 on the Amaika website it said that the super organza is used in the Harry Potter and the cursed child Play and I had to think immediately think of the dementors! Look at the trailer for the play, I am 99% certain they did use a dark colour for the dementors and it looks sooo gorgeous 😍😱😍
I love how excited you are about this fabric!
It looks like a literal cloud ☁️!!! Love the videos, you’re so talented.
Wow! That fabric is super beautiful and dreamy. I cannot tell the quality difference between the super organza and the rest you are showing. You are so cute playing with all the fabric.
WOW, the fabric is so beautiful! It moves like liquid O_o Not gonna lie, I would also play with it all day long :-D
I once had perfect buttons take 2 months to get shipped, 2 weeks to get across the ocean, and a month in customs. It arrived 3 days after the event I needed them for :'(
So pretty, you could make a video of you wofting the fabric around to soft music and sell it as a relaxation aid,
OMG this is soooo gorgeous!!! I am now trying to think up a project that would justify me using this fabric. I am so happy and excited for you. Can't wait to see how it sews up.
The fabric is so beautiful. Amazing. Kudos to whoever developed it
Only two words. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. * _____ *
Beautifully, gorgeous fabric. Stunning!
Wow that fabric really is stunning! It’s so mesmerising you watch!
This fabric is just beautiful, the way it flows the shine. Just lovely
Congrats on finding the fabric you needed for your project. I'm sorry it took ages to arrive and got shipped elsewhere. I'm really excited to see how you will be working with it. I know it will be a challenge as it looks very slippery. Great share. Happy Holidays and thank you for sharing.
The fabric looks fantastic! Can't wait for more Cinderella dress updates 😀
I love how much you described all the fabric!❤️❤️
Beautiful, sheer, lightweight and colorful, what more could one ask!! Great comparisons on the other materials. I guessed 20 yards at the beginning. High guess...
Wow, that fabric is so gorgeous! I need it in my life 😍
Thank you so much for sharing your research and experiences!
Finally! I've been eagerly waiting for this part. The hype was worth it
I'm seriously so excited! You're videos make me fall back in love with sewing!
Awww! 😭💙
Dear Bella , I love everything about this video. Your enthusiasm, your genuineness, playfulness, ... I think I would not have the heart to cut into this fabric. I would just play with it.
My favorite series to watch it’s so satisfying to see you get close to your goal
That fabric is stunning! Hopefully one day I'll be able to recreate this gown for myself with the help of your videos 😊
Just stunning. Can't wait for more to come. You can make butterflies from the scraps leftover. It looks so flowy and you just want to frolic with it draped around you
Just want to come back and say, this is incredible! You did so good!!!
as I recently bought a bunch of organza myself for a project, I can relate to the "throwing fabric in air and see if gracefully float down".
It's great to know I'm not the only person that does so.
looking forward to seeing how the skirt turn out~
I am not usually one for organza type fabrics but GOD.. this is gorgeous. It looks like it rides air currents as it floats to the ground. I'm never going to forget this lol
Nice information 👌 👍 very very beautiful fabric thanku dear 👌
I've been so obsessed with the cinderella's dress.... i just want to suport you. I'm so exited to see the process. You can do this.
This is absolutely magical!
That fabric truly has the most amazing movement!
im sooo happy for you! congratulations!
If I was rich, I’d make my entire wardrobe out of this and look like an ethereal princess every day of my life.
I don’t know why we haven’t seen more couture collections utilize it. Just imagine the collection Elie Saab could create out of this fabric... I would die.
I spent so many fruitless hours trying to find concrete info on this fabric years ago when cinderella came out. Seeing you actually manage to get it is like....it feels impossible wow. I...want some 😍 Well done!!
Bella, thank you so much for sharing this important information and your research with us! Also thanks for mentioning the company where you bought it! The fabric is amazing and I can't wait to see the result. Love you!
The fabric is beautiful! It’s heavenly!
wow, it's utterly glorious! thank you for showing it off so nicely! i could have watched you flinging it and floating it over the camera all day! :)
it looks like water. the way it moves and flows and just is. it reminds me of fresh water in a mountain/forest
That is the most mesmerizing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. ❤️
Can't wait to see in on the dress!
That fabric is UNREAL. Looks like Magic.
I would say that the major factor of the expense of this beautiful fabric even though it’s polyester is how difficult it probably is to weave. Might even have to be woven on special machinery considering how fine the threads are and how much more like it probably would be for them to snap. Also, I have fabric envy now lol.
Wow.... that fabric is SOMETHING ELSE! but seriously, I think we ALL play with new fabric when we buy some 😂😂😂 wonderful video, Bella, I am excited to come along the ride of this gown
the most magical fabric I've ever seen!
I love how blissfully happy you look
Thes is wonderful and Distinctive work 👏👍👌🌹🌹❤️
That fabric is absolutely mesmerizing and I cannot wait to see it in skirt form!! 💙💙💙
Very ethereal fabric - magical.
Never before in my life has watching fabric given me chills. This is an interesting first
OMG, the video I have been waiting for since 2015!!!
Wow what an adventure! But isn’t it gorgeous? So glad you were able to treat yourself xx
Now you're making me want to order this material for my future wedding dress!
no but that fabric montage was chef’s kiss
That is a Fairy Godmother gift of fabric. So magical.
That really is the most beautiful fabric in the world! 😍😍😍😍😍
I am SO EXCITED for the bodice construction! You’re bodice was so smooth, and I’m still at that wrinkly stage. I am waiting on this video on my heels because I feel It will help out soooo so much.
that fabric is literally to die for!!
That is the most ethereal fabric I have ever seen! I'm excited to see how this turns out but I do not envy all the sewing if it's as slippery to sew as it looks.
Thank you very much vor the information 👍
Wow Amazing Fabric 🥰
The super organza looks sooooo magical
If I had money I would just buy 10m of this and swan around my house, swishing and being dramatic! It looks so amazing! 😍
that fabric looks so unreal omg !! so pretty!!
This looks amazingly worth it and I'm not even seeing it in person!
Thank you for introducing me!!
