      The more you do the better you get. Start with some other designs and modify them. You will progress over time!

    The magnets were a great idea and who doesn't need extra hidden storage places to put things to forget about only to be found years later.

    What a wonderful idea to use the hidden magnets to secure your planes! Your shop continues to become more organized with each project! I see your plane collection has really grown! They're both functional and beautiful tools! The plane till was an awesome storage idea and it turned out great! You got that New England accent perfectly perfected too!! As always, enjoyed seeing your latest project! You and Buddy have a great weekend! God bless!!

    Awesome Eric.. organization is important for a craftsman..
    I'm from upstate ny. Years ago a family bought an old farm and they got to looking around the old hay barn and discovered it was timber framed mahogany. They sold the mahogany and the proceeds more than payed for a brand new barn.
    Awesome job.. Cheers !.

    Very attractive storage and well thought out design! I don't think you'll fool Buddy with the hidden storage area, dogs know everything! 🐾😁 Thanks for sharing the video!

    Nice design. I need to build a till for my planes & get them off the lower shelf of my bench. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Nice, you're getting good at woodworking but don't make the same mistake that I did and forget about welding, now I can't even strike the arc.

    Great job Eric. Appreciate the detail you shared, from inspiration, the build stages, and variety of tools you used to create a beautiful piece. Certainly an inspiration to those of us who dream of becoming the wood craftsman you have become.

    Yup! It looks great Eric, I like the Muhagany on it too. I was trying to figure out how I was going to incorporate my hand planes into my wall tool storage. I like the magnet thing, goodonya! Thanks for helpin me on this one...

    Nice, Eric. I'm starting to build my own planes and need a place to put them, so great timing. Magnets make perfect sense. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Looks well-made and well thought out for the design. Along those lines, I am considering placing my chisels in what you call the hiding place, but need to make certain that they, too, are well cared for. Probably use some magnets as well as the holder brace most people see in a woodworker's tools case.

    • @CraftsmansLegacy
      @CraftsmansLegacy  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks David. I can share my experience on that thought. I use my chisels way too often and wouldn't want to lift the till a bunch. I mostly keep items I don't need often (branding irons, pyography kit) since I remove the planes before lifting the till. All the best on your build!!

    Really nice build~! I've been getting into using hand planes myself and have been looking for a till design for my own growing collection. I really like what you've done there. The imbedded magnets and hinging action are great touches~! Thanks for the inspiration~!!

    At 3:21, I was very concerned for your safety. As a woodworker for nearly 30 years, I would never let my fingers get that close to a router bit spinning at 20-30,000 rpm! Rounding over the edges and then cutting each strip away at the table saw would be a slower process, but much safer.

    @sueb6259 Před 3 lety +4

    Oh No! I think you made a big mistake! Do you really think Buddy’s friends won’t watch and tell him about your hiding spot! 🤦‍♀️
    Might want to move the hidden snacks!!
