    I just want to say I absolutely love, love, love this channel. I just found it. Confession, I work night shift and had a slow night and burned through about 8 episodes! I relate your opening words on the channel with having a job I’ve done for years and have grown to despise it. My heart isn’t with it and I really want to focus on my craft (woodworking) and this has totally inspired me to focus towards that goal. So appreciate the time you’ve put into interviewing these craftsman/artists and really look forward to more of these. You yourself are a great craftsman and artist and I absolutely love your shop as well. God bless and thanks again.

    Great stuff, for sure! Nice video.
    Chraftsmen don't "battle for perfection", any more than an airline pilot would struggle to land a plane (under normal conditions). You put in 40 years, you probably have a few things down. And the 7 years apprenticeship, would be enough in most cases.

    • @HondoTrailside
      @HondoTrailside Před 2 lety

      You hear guys say stuff like "this is an easier method". Who cares, it's all easy to a craftsman. There used to be this big stupid argument about tails or pins first. Stupid only because it was at the level of which is easier, or gives better results. If the only thing getting me off a desert island is my ability to make a dovetail, starting whatever way you say I should. I will get off the Island on the first boat.
