    I have plenty respect for Tom, he just do not give a fuck about what people think, still funny and still making great music, and of course his music made our youth way better.

    I think it's funny he said he used his signature Strat on Dude Ranch considering he played a Les Paul during most of that era and he didn't get that signature guitar until enema of the state. Then again, I guess he had that white Fernandes Strat copy with all the stickers all over it during so maybe that's what he was referring to.

    • @llamashockz
      @llamashockz Před 8 lety +2

      I might be wrong but I think he used his les paul more on cheshire cat and earlier stuff. Theres a really old video of them playing wasting time live and hes using that.

    • @ILazzarus666
      @ILazzarus666 Před 8 lety

      both of you are a bit off. He used a bootleg strat in cheshire cat it was a guitar company that made fender strat look alikes. Then in dude ranch era he used a les paul

    • @chrstncday
      @chrstncday Před 8 lety

      +llama shockz i think I've seen that. If it's the same video I'm thinking of, that was from '97 which was dude ranch era

    • @chrstncday
      @chrstncday Před 8 lety +1

      +Agustin Guzman yeah that "bootleg" strat was made by a company called Fernandes. I believe you can see it up close in the music video for M+M's during the clips of the band playing.

      @ILazzarus666 Před 8 lety +1

      +chrstncday yep exactly he uses the clone strat im cheshire era and in dude ranch he used it still but also switched back in forth between the clone strat and the les paul thats why you see the clone strat in the Dammit video but you see him playing Voyeur on a late show in like 98 and he uses the Les Paul.

    • @thefriendlyfinger69
      @thefriendlyfinger69 Před 7 lety

      Can't tell in the video, the cabs are unmarked. I imagine it was either a marshall or mesa 4X12, probably with Celestion V30s.

    • @secrettknight2972
      @secrettknight2972 Před 7 lety

      Cleveland Steamer oh okay, cuz I'm tryna get a sound like him. The sound like in take of your pants and jacket and enema. Anything you reccomend for about 500 or less?

    • @thefriendlyfinger69
      @thefriendlyfinger69 Před 7 lety

      Any strat - squier or copy - as long as it has the seymour duncan invader bridge pickup. A mesa mini rectifier is probably the most affordable amp I can think of that's closest to that sound. Impossible to get for under 500 mainly cause amps are expensive. Definitely worth it though.

    • @Seabee156
      @Seabee156 Před 6 lety +1

      Plus the guitar was pretty small and Tom is huge. So if you compare a strat to a 333 there's a big difference. I'm the same height as Tom and I prefer the 333 over the tiny strat

    • @griffinpaulbutler7614
      @griffinpaulbutler7614 Před 6 lety

      Seabee156 I have played several strats, and sadly never have I even seen a 333. I want to play one so bad. Although, I’m shorter so I don’t feel the strat is real small. But, I can’t know until I play the 333.

      Nick Heal well, he wasn't working with them by choice, he may not have said "i quit", but he stopped playing with them, before he was replaced. that is why I look at it more as he quit vs he was fired, because if he didn't stop working with them by his own choice, he would still be with them.
