    Great video Lucas! Thanks! I stayed at Sea Me; good pick! The room was monstrous! I almost felt guilty having it to myself. Great service, amenities and location as well. Loved it. I was seriously looking into The Wave and Bayshore as well for my next trip. They will now be on the short list with a few others I have looked into and previously stayed at. Nice job! Thanks again! 🍻🇨🇦🇺🇸🇹🇭

    Sea Me Spring is really 3 different hotels, but all the same group. If you book on Agoda they are listed separately. I have stayed myself at Sea Me Spring and Sea Me Spring Too, but not at Sea Me Spring Tree. It is a good hotel and I'd definitely consider them again. I hope to be there in early December and I am considering staying at LK Empress. Doing my initial stay in Phuket as I had already booked it and have never been there so won't need the place to be SHA as I would already be past that requirement in any case.

    Hi Loucous,
    Nicely filmed and presented. One possibly crucial thing that may apply, the rates you selected are for now (i.e. mid October when few foreigners are able to travel easily to Thailand). Once entry is eased from November 1st who here expects those hotel rates to stay as low with the likely higher demand through "high season" too?

    • @Rides4Kickz
      @Rides4Kickz  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, just using it as a benchmark, I was more interested in if they would take a booking, many properties are still closed at the moment. I feel if they are open now, they should be open in a month or 2 when people return, if they are not open now, no guarantee they will be open later.

    Nice vid! Lots of info to consider, like Joiner Fees, but maybe their websites have that info. I'm sure the price also depends on how long you stay, I have seen some offer discounts on 30 days or more. I have also been looking at renting a condo on AirBnB, I have seen some in Central Pattaya 2nd Rd area that look real nice for $1,200 for 30 days, comes out to $40 per day (1350 THB). Downside is no breakfast, no maid service.

    • @Rides4Kickz
      @Rides4Kickz  Před 2 lety

      In my experience, most of the joiner fees seem to be a the lower end hotels. Not so much with the midrange as long as you book for 2 adults up front.

    I'll be staying in Phuket at the Seabed Grand Hotel a SHA + hotel. It comes in at 914 baht a night. Now lucky me I'll only need to stay there 1 night because of the government lifting the quarantine requirements. (Will arrive on October 31st and they are removing quarantine requirements on November 1st) I will search for better accommodation's the following day if indeed the requirements are lifted. Who knows maybe I'll like the Seabed Grand Hotel and stay there. Like the idea I can move to another hotel if I want.

  • @NotTomS
    @NotTomS Před 2 lety +1

    Good review, but you probably forgot the most important question you should ask the Hotel, whether they are guest friendly or not/extra fee... Second most important question (esp if you are quarantined) is do the rooms have a balcony... Otherwise, if you aren't concerned with that... I, (a westerner) would go with Avanti... A-one tends to be mobbed with tour buses (if there are any running) and I've seen long lines of BKK Thai's waiting to checkin/park... YMMV

    I prefer to stay in SHA accommodation to be reassured of safety measures. Then look at other places when I arrive see how they are going? You didn't mention the apartments and condos available to rent as well. Some are SHA approved already. I booked one last night for 7 days, at the end of November. It's in Pattaya South Road, for only 15 UK pounds! A real bargain! Thanks for all your videos since the first lockdown last year. Keep me going when I miss Thailand so much! well, I just used Agoda for the first time, for a reservation here in the states. Kind of backwards. Did people use Agoda to book their AQ hotels? Would it be doable for SHA if required ? One further issue to consider is breakfast inclusion in the room rate, many hotels overcharge for breakfast purchased at the property. Referring to your top 3 only : The breakfast at Avani pattaya is typically a fantastic buffet style (May have changed during the pandemic with shortage of guests) and appeared to be included in the rate you quoted in the video. Brekky also appeared to be included in the a1 hotel rate you visualized. Whereas, the bay view seemed to be a room rate only.

    • @Rides4Kickz
      @Rides4Kickz  Před 2 lety

      Most did not include breaky, and that seems to change day to day but I believe Avani did. Also it may depend on where you book from, I hear different prices and offers are available in different areas.

    • @manman9995
      @manman9995 Před 2 lety

      @@Rides4Kickz probably true and breakfast is soo inexpensive around pattaya that not a major concern for most, just a consideration for those who like a breakfast at the hotel especially since it’s higher end hotels. The Avani was always one of my faves in Thailand, especially on a Sunday where they introduce a glazed ham carvery into the equation (may not be the case since the pandemic slow down)

      I think they will continue for a while yet.

    Doubt many people will be heading to Thailand until they see if the bars are opening back up in December?
    I am hoping to get to Thailand end of December for 3 1/2 weeks
    Avani €90 min a night for December Middle of November €45 a night Lovely hotel I was hoping to get for €50-€60 a night.
    A-One has no rooms quoted for November.
    Bayview has no rooms for November.
    If they lift the need to stay at an SHA hotel for one week hotel prices will come down
    Hopefully, we get to see you riding around Pattaya sooner rather than later. Thanks for the info & stay safe.

      "until they see if the bars are opening back up"
      That's true. For maybe 1% of all Thailand tourists. It seems like many people on certain social media accounts focus on one tiny bit of the tourism industry.

    If i go to the US for a few weeks and then come back. Does no quaranteen mean you can stay in your own condo when you get back ? And what about the COE form ? Do you still have to deal with that ?

      I believe no quarantine means you are free to go wherever, not sure about COE.

      It is still not clear/ The COE official website not showing all the latest or what may be the latest yet

    This episode was perfect ! I reviewed your top two and there were more options with Bayview than A-1. I booked in March and it was cheaper and therefore I upgraded as well for only ฿1544/night and can cancel until March!

    He is correct that it is NOT yet clear if SHA is required. And it is NOT yet clear if, where or when additional PCR tests are required such as:
    Prior to travel and getting an airline? On arrival at the BKK airport? On arrival at any hotel?
    COE seems to still be required, but the official website is not updated yet on what will be required to get to Pattaya.

      Prior to travel will for sure be required.
