- Today we go out to shop around for the best deal in Pattaya for tonight's room. We visit 10 Pattaya Hotels and compare rates and contrast amenities and eventually check-in to what I think is both the best deal and also maybe the most interesting property, proving you need to shop around for a good deal.

Your logic, thinking style and mannerisms gives me great trust and confidence in you and what you say. I can think of no greater compliment from me. Thx for all your efforts.
You are absolutely right
Very kind Keith, Many Thanks 👍
Pattaya has had its day and now time to move forward away from "Sex for Sale" even though it's illegal in Thailand. Move on Pattaya!
@@petermartyn9509 im not sure how that relates to his clip or my thoughts on his work. There is also consider evidence to debate the position you offer. But I respect your choice to have your own view.
Thanks Lucas, for a great hotel viewing and good selection to choose from I like your pick one and two at the end, hope you and lovely Ms Vee had a great night and breakfast at the hotel I am sure you did. Many thanks again PS hope to catch up sometime in December getting excited now. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
We have been watching your videos for a few months, thoroughly enjoy them as you are both so likeable!
Well done again Lucas. This has been a great series especially with so many people planning a trip in the near future. Fantastic to see how, with a bit of shopping, one can find a real bargain, even with the higher end rooms.
Thank you for your great efforts for your helpful coverage and videos .. God Bless You 🌹💯
Great info once again Lucas. Thx for the effort. Very helpful. I’ll be there as soon as the virus 🦠 madness ends.
Wow ! excellent 3 part video series with a heck of a lot of information to digest. We normally stay 1 week at a Hotel in Bangkok and Pattaya but seeing your Hotel tour I think next trip I will spread it out over 3 or 4 Hotels a couple of nights in each. We usually stay in the D Varee Jomtien Beach, nice and quiet there at night. Thanks Lucas excellent video as usual and I can't wait to see your next show.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The series has been very good, thanks for the info and top viewing
adding some info about AVANI and Barracuda. AVANI is not "guest friendly" meaning if you "meet" someone cute and want to bring her to your room for a 'friendly conversation,' Avani staff will stop you, and charge you a GUEST fee. Barracuda is guest-friendly, they will not bother you.
When you booked the room did you make the booking for 2 person
@@Nathan-cd6gu if you do, they will ask passport for both people to register, as foreigners are required to do so ...
I made that mistake on my first trip in 2018. I think the guest fee was 1000 Baht. I did manage to sneak a girl in through the restaurant entrance on 2nd road though.
Thanks Loucous , Great series on the hotels , many different options with a few new players.
Hi Lucus & Vee enjoyed this series of videos. At the top end, it is still cheap as chips in comparison to the west and the price is for two people you can't go wrong. Look forward to seeing your video on the room you have chosen to stay in.
Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M
Great vid. Keep them coming!
Hi loucous and Vee thank you for the tips I'm sure it's going to help people pick the hotel that suits them.
Great review! Many thanks.
Great reviews as always. Think the last one was my favorite. Thanks for sharing.😎
That’s great
Thanks again Lucas so many hotels I didn’t realise. The Blackwoods on 7 I think just recently opened. Look forward to your next video
Good choice! Waiting for your next review vid... It's all about the sale, and the desk did a great job and hooked you... lol... btw: Saw some recent news... Hope you aren't having agent problems at your condo... cheers...
As always, good video. Congrats on breaking the 50K subscribers. Take Care from Texas
Awesome information - thanks
Very enjoyable video can't wait to watch next one.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good choice! Looking forward to the next video on what it was like.
Of all the ones you showed I have only been to the Buffet at MYTT I know things have changed and most places won't be a 100% until the crowds show up but... The seafood buffet every Friday and Saturday was AMAZING. Lobster, Crab, Oysters, and always some unique surprise item like Wagyu Beef or filet Mignon. etc👍
No it is not. Blackwood is piece of ...
Really, that sounds like something I should checkout. I don't remember seeing Lobster on many buffets here so that might be an outlier.
Thanks for such great information. Hope to see you and Vee in January!
👍👍👍
Great series of videos, thank you. Arriving November 4th....hopefully.
Really liking this idea you had lucas see what's available thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Excellent series. Thanks!
You're very welcome!
Thanks for all your hard work helps us a lot I like what you said about the pie the smaller the air fare the smaller the hotel the more fun with the bigger peace of the pie 5555
👍👍👍
Love this one to , very nice hotels. I love the location of the last one. Thank you again
Glad you enjoyed it
Cant wait to see the room!
Good info thank you, I think you picked the best one. Looking forward to the full review
Yes I think so
Great David, See you tonight then at the premiere 👍
A favorite of mine is the One Patio Hotel, I stayed there shortly after inauguration. Lovely property.
love your smooth voice. You should have been a radio jockey.😊
Good series. I stayed at the holiday inn over 100 times. For business so would go with certain hotel groups that had the best loyalty program. Usually access to club room, free breakfast, snacks, drinks, evening small buffet, unlimited espresso. Also access to boardroom and area for business meetings. Different criteria but things like early check in and late check out plis free upgrades to rooms. Different way of doing hotels but would be good to see you do a series in this segment
Great Vlog series,Lucas!!
Thanks!!
Much enjoy watching! From Cambodia
👍👍👍
Great video!!
Great video. My first stay in Pattaya some 20 years ago was at the Dusit Thani. I remember a huge lobby, small rooms and an afternoon by the pool interrupted by a family arriving from the sea surrounding by military with machine guns.
In my view, none of the hotels you have shown are worth more than the medium priced hotels you have shown. Very helpful.
Yes great video indeed
Wow, that's quite a memory there 👍👍
I was there in 2016 and 17 ,,🤔🇹🇭And that corner was all just little beer bars , had some good nights there too, Thanks for the upgrade lol 😂👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Siam Bayshore , Dusit Thani. Defiantly, one of the two property look the best, Price is comparable to all of them but I like the grounds. Looks very comfortable. Thanks Lucas, this is a lot of work on your part. Looking forward to you next review. Just a note: See if you can get some NAC pills ,good for colds and other virus you might get.
Really can't determine which would have been a better choice as they all have similar locations and amenities. So I guess price would have been the final factor and - like you said - a good deal was difficult to pass up. Look forward to your vlog on the Blackwoods, Loucous. Hopefully, Sois 7 and 8 return to their former glory soon.
Thanks for the in-depth presentation on hotels. I was convinced about your midrange hotels (the one across from the beach) but these high range ones may have changed my mind.
Many Thanks 👍
Blackwood- no brainer, sweet discount, new hotel, high end room, good location. Have fun 🤩. Second choice was the same, the mytt with Koi pond. Good video👍🏼”by for now”!
Typo “bye for now”
Many Thanks 👍
Stayed at Blackwoods 2 weeks ago. we were only ones during the week but busy on weekend. Great place.
Another great video
Well done
Thanks Graham
Good choice .. good location
Stayed there on my recent visit under the test and go Sha scheme the staff were great and the room also returned home 2 weeks ago , plus the arrangement under the Sha scheme with pick up at the airport was done smoothly
Would highly recommend, lovely breakfast also
Good day new friend from Philippines..beautiful places.
Thank You and Com Estas
"Eloquent Piano Lounge", gotta love this guy!
Yet again brilliant presentation and content, I have always been a "budget" visitor but when you compare these prices and facilities for what you will get for the equivalent in the UK? It obviously makes a big difference getting prices in Thailand. (even though I struggle with tech I have just got a VPN just have to learn how to use it 555).
Nice 👍
Top series, and I agree with your choice, the Mera Mare would have been second but being at Soi 7/8 is such a bonus
Yes, I think so. Those sois should return and be very popular again.
Congratulations on 50K subscribers!
Thank you so much 😀
I just got back from Pattaya and I saw you filming on Beach Road. I pass by in the songtaew @15:33
Haha, Nice 👍
Thanks Lucas looks a good hotel.
Thanks for the fabulous content as always! Blackwoods definitely offered you the best deal and I can't wait to see your next video sharing your experience there. I stayed at Dusit Thani less than two years ago for two weeks. The best hotel experience ever, very highly recommended.
Nice, yes the Blackwoods was very good
I spent one night in Blackwood in May. Nick from another YT channel had made a video of the hotel. I do not recommend the hotel. The room was OK, a little weird in a good way but the biggest problem was the soundproofing. While the hotel was perhaps 5% of capacity, I heard everything being discussed in one of the rooms next door. The best part of the hotel is the location as well as the garage lift. But: Blackwood - never again.
We never heard a peep, but there is not much noise around to really test it and I don't believe anyone was in the rooms next door.
good choice!!!
Giving us all great option ideas..
I miss that little lunch spot on the corner at the start, their food was always good and it was great value too.
Nice choice, I'll definitely check them out 👍
Cool 👍👍
Have a great day 🙏🤟🇹🇭🍺🇦🇺🇺🇸
Good effort there Lucas and some nice choices will we see the room and breakfast tomorrow 😋😋
Hope so!
Normally stay Avani or Barracuda but last time tried the Holiday inn, great breakfast and the restaurant overlooks the pool with a view over the ocean, highly recommend it.
👍👍👍
Looking forward to tomorrow’s review. 🙏
Nice 👍👍👍
I'm blown away by the value, with or without money saving tips. Yes I'm looking for a sea view but not entirely comfortable with such opulence. Except when wanting to impress...
All nice hotels, enjoyed the vid. Although I'm not seeing the relevance of the SHA+ accreditation at this time, only because, apart from Blackwoods, none of them are offering the 1 night quarantine package.
I fancy a stay at all of them but Black Woods will probably be my next one 👍🇹🇭🍺
Being a tropical fish lover , I would have choozen the one with the Koi-Pond! Lol ; )
Good choice!
I have to agree with you on that choice. Something I've kinda noticed with Thailand is if there is a new opening on a hotel they usually run some great deals. I was able to book the Racha 5 star hotel on a private island for 7 nights at under 50 usd for private villa right on the beach with 2 nights free. So only 250 usd for the 7 nights. That was many years ago now you can't even get 1 night for that price. I was also able to book Millennium in Bangkok when it first opened for under 60 usd for an executive suite. Not sure what that would cost today but I'm guessing a pretty penny. You need to catch these hotels when they first open up.
nice serie over the hotels lucas ,maybe a tip in those 3 serie was easy to put in all the hotels that you mention in the serie in the description box so for people who wantcome in nov can search for in agoda ?
Ok, might do that.
Very nice hotels Lucas, but unfortunately OVER my budget ... I prefer to stick with the 1000 Baht per night plan 😅😅😅
Good choice!
pretty nice i like it
Thank you! Cheers!
Yes its hard to pass up a deal like that when it blows all the others away.. L.A Rob
The Blackwood would be my choice as well. Would love to hear your report. Cheers
4:50 the first time I stayed in pattaya, that was the hotel I stayed in. and I remembered every time I cross that walkway, the smell of the sewage hits me right in the face..... but that was like 6 years ago. I don't know about now....
Centara Grand Phratamnak you should go see . they have something amazing in the lobby .
Stayed at Siam Bayshore 3 times , everytime 14 days. Very happy with that one. Just maybe slight dated roomdesigns.
👍👍👍
Hi mate. Just a personal factor. If Im going to stay for a week I like my room to have a microwave. Hard to find. You might like to do an episode that covers rooms with a microwave. A challenge for you 😊. I try to keep my rooms below Bt 1200. Cheers. Fred.
I would choose the first one, the Siam Bayshore, but you made a good choice with the discounts and all. But the beginning was more focused on the massage place. Of course, the camera does not have a life of its own. There is a human being behind it. ;-)
I hadn't noticed 🤣
Mytt Hotel is the one that used to have the 3000 baht lobster buffet! Damn I remember now the disappointment of walking up and being told no buffet service *sigh* lol
Must look into that.
one thing I found out... there is a big difference between SHA certified and SHA PLUS hotels. the PLUS is a place where you can actually quarantine, plus it provides PCR testing ... thus for even vaccinated travelers, must stay in SHA PLUS one night.
Thankyou
Welcome 🙏
I like the Mere Mare
Any info on Centara Azure Hotel in Soi Buakhao 15? It was for sale half a year ago. Did it reopen yet? I really like to stay there because of the convenient location between second road an Soi Buakhao. I also like the large breakfast buffet and fitness center.
16:45 I thought you were gonna say the lady hit you up for a 500 Baht joiner fee! Luckily it was a discount instead.
You must have been looking at the hilton price of $200 for sat sun nites. i see a deluxe king ocean view at the hilton pattaya for $105 on weekdays. weekends are always more expensive.
Hi, the hotel itself may be great, but another thing is who else is staying at the hotel. I myself try to avoid hotels that have a lot of tourist groups.
I kinda like the next to last one.... Not that I've ever been to a piano bar.
The Siam Bayshore looked great , it sort of jumped out to me , but there’s not one that I wouldn’t stay in .
Good videos. But wonder how much prices will vary by date, etc. ? Seeing huge discounts on Agoda for some and suspect it's temporary. Also trying to find an SHA+ hotel as required for vaccinated tourists....ugh...not easy to find. Also wonder if 'desk' price is same as hotel website price (if they allow booking online)?
Yeah, not sure about desk vs website and If demand picks up so will prices, but IMO it would have to pickup significantly to warrant a price hike at this time.
@@Rides4Kickz thanks. Hoping for December trip. Owe you at least a beer for the informational videos. Hoping to more m/c riding out there too.
Thanks for the information. Can I ask, is there any car rental company that will rent us a car to travel around Thailand. I don't have a bike license and they don't do big bikes for both hubby and me.
Yes, many options in Pattaya for car rentals.
Looking at the Blackwood on your Agoda list you put up it says for the 2nd choice on the list room for 2 adults and 2 children 1530 baht for 2 breakfasts so the 2 children are not catered for? plus who wants to pay $46 for 2 breakfast?
Haha, I didn't read it that way but actually, no way a family of could have stayed in my room there unless they kids slept in sleeping bags on the floor.
We all know there are 3 prices in Thailand. The Farang price, the haggled price, and the Thai price. I have to wonder what the walk in rates would have been if Vi went in and asked them, without you in sight.
I think I should have asked these questions at the start of the series. Lets try and see if you can answer or pass...
Do you have to take the room they give you or can you request a room you want?
Can you come with a guess from out side (wink wink and may be different guess at different time for a month stay) or do they not allow that?
Can you cancel regular room cleaning in morning for a different time of day or is there a window time for that?
Also can you order in food or do you have to stick to there choices?
thx..
Most of those are routine front desk requests that they should work with you on. Book the room for 2 adults and a guest should not be a problem.
I worked at a hotel in Samui back in 2005 and most of these online booking companies wanted the hotel to sign contracts saying they wouldn’t sell rooms for less than the online companies rates. Not sure how they would know what the hotel actually sold to walk-ins for but that’s probably why some say they can’t beat the online price.
These booking sites regularly check by visiting and trying to book for a lower price than they offer.
Ah, very interesting.
Mira mare..
hi lucas i have used expedia a few times would your choice still be agoda and why your opinion plz, lee
I think in this region Agoda is much more widely used. All the hotels are used to dealing with them.
Your videos are amazing.. Keep it up..
Thank you so much 😀
I don't know if being just below the pool is a good idea. I was once on a hotel in that configaration (somewhere around soi10-13 near beach road) and the pool should habe been closed by 9 or 10 pm but every night there was korean boys making party up there until 2am or so and they wasn't quiet either.
my man..you mention the walk up price, in your opinion would you get the same price if you were to inquire by phone?....also if you are single, would you still ask rate for 2 people or is there a single occupancy rate?.........yowza!
Yes, I believe so, you can call as well.
I think you should have had Hard rock hotel Pattaya on your list. I think thai is under 100$
I'm here again. Serious question how many of your followers would you expect to be in this range?
I think probably 25-30 percent of people traveling here opt for a hotel in this price range.
I definitely would!
