Yeah take the VPN advertising on a video or 2 . You have earned it and it's a good idea for a lot of people.
I agree. Take the money, so long as you feel your at least pimping a decent product.
I'm actually a little surprised that you don't get more offers from hotels in the area trying to drum up business. If I owned a guest house, CZcamsrs would be staying there for free all the time. Even if I had to pay them to do it, haha.
I would highly recommend Areca Lodge. Stayed there twice. Great hotel, very clean and 2 good pools. Decent poolside bar with good food and beer at 70 bhat a bottle. A stone's throw from LK metro, Soi Buakow and Treetown.
Well said 👍
Thank you for giving us all the good information. It’s going to make it really easy on anyone visiting Pattaya for a month vacation. I am looking forward for your next video .
Thanks for doing these types of videos, they are exactly what is needed for anyone thinking of visiting Pattaya. I realise the prices will change depending on day, but as of when you made this particular video, they are amazing. From my perspective, location is probably paramount, seeing i will probably relay on either waking or reasonably priced transport. Having said that, all the other features are very important. Please keep these types of videos coming.
Thanks Smeg, glad you found it helpful.
Excellent watch. I really enjoy your condos/houses for rent and hotel videos.
Congrats on 50k, great video...
Nice info Lucas….appreciate the work you put into this video!
My pleasure and many thanks 👍

Another great video.. Invaluable advise for casual visitors to Pattaya.
really great to see,, i hope can come before end of november to pattaya
I've stayed in 5 out the 10 hotel you showed, but the one that caught my eye was LK Empress, lovely looking hotel. Will definitely keep an eye out for that one when next in town, cheers for the video......also congrats on reaching 50K subs 👍
Thanks . Great help for hotel search for Christmas vacation visit 👍👍
An ad for a product that you actually use is fine by me 👍
Some really great deals there thanks.
Fantastic information. I love Thailand and the people and have happy memories of my last visit in 1991. Did Bangkok and Koh Samui for a month and loved it. I am trying to get my life organized to visit again. Love your vids and feel the gov of Thailand should have you on the payroll as you are a great ambassador for the country.
Awesome choices - thanks Lucas and V / cheers
Great info, Loucous. Thanks for your efforts at informing those of us who can't wait to get to Pattaya.
My pleasure!
Hi, Lucus & Vee enjoyed the video. Congratulations on getting 50,000 subscribers. I can see 100,000 in your future as long as you maintain the quality and quantity of which I am in no doubt you will.
These types of vlogs are what's important to viewers and when you take us off to some beautiful locations. You have a good formula and it works.
Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M
Many Thanks Pokeaman, 🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations on 50K subscribers, very informative video covering many choices & options pool sea views on mid-range hotels prices $25-$45 Excellent video editing work promoting Land of Smiles. Very much looking forward to your next video on what Amazing Thailand can deliver for over $45 per night accommodation.
Thank you... Good job sir...
50K subsribers well done next year 100K. Enjoyed the tour. You can get breakfast anywhere not a problem as an excuse for a walk. I have stayed at the Chaiypoon and the Areca the contrast is somewhat significant but common factor is that the staff are friendly in both.
Yes, very important to feel welcomed by the staff. After going in about 25 hotels this week, most were friendly, a couple maybe not so welcoming but the difference is very evident.
Love this series mate thankyou. I stay at Flipper House Soi 7 every Pattaya trip, great location to branch out from & close for baht bus route. I get a deluxe room that is good mid range value, great buffet breakfast until midday, terrific staff, I recommend. 👍
Nice, a fine choice.
Congrats on 50k, love ur informative vids!
Many Thanks 👍
nice one Lucas, defo will look at these hotels. Great your thinking of us folks heading back to ruin paradise for you :)
Cheers Lucas for this video. Managed to get Flipper Lodge for the 5 weeks from start of December. Cheaper and better location than my previous booking. Looking forward to Xmas and New Year in Pattaya
Note:- No Sea View Newly Renovated Rooms left - Garden View option selling out fast
Brilliant reviews 👍🏽
I usually stay August Suites or LK Metropole happy that my choices in your list .
Baboona on the front beach road soi 3 very good also .
Yes concur about price hike I was paying 2-2.5k baht a night
Congratulations on hitting 50k subscribers, well deserved.
Thanks Paul 👍
Thank you great job
All great choices. Anything beachfront is nice but that runner up Sereno has an awesome view. Thanks for sharing.😎
Yes, that is a great evening up there, even now.
Good information, thanks for posting this video. I stayed at Flipper House a few years ago. The room they gave me was much smaller than what I booked online a month earlier. I didn't feel like making a big stink about it. I was there for 2 nights and moved over to the LK Metropole.
Great video as usual, congrats on the 50k, keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Very good of you Lucas to check out hotels, have stayed In Areca some years ago was ok so have been looking at prices for my trip in June, couldn’t decide’ but after this video I have chosen August suits. Great price, $32 Aus p/n . 2 weeks in superior room $448 11,198 baht. Just booked will pay early June. Thanks Lucas really appreciate your efforts
Great, they look good, I've stayed in Areca lodge a few years ago it was ok i got a good price and the location and staff were great. cant wait to see what you found for the higher price ones 👍😀 next time i go to Pattaya i'll be looking for a hotel close to the beach with a good view.
Hi Loucous, I’ve stayed at Areca Lodge several times. Sometimes hard to find availability high season in the past and prices higher. Great location though. Will always try to book this hotel when visiting Pattaya. I first saw it listed in the guide book, “Rough Guide to Thailand” and never been disappointed. Great subject for vids, very useful for when it all opens up again. Thanks. Tony 🇬🇧🙏🏻
Totally agree
Also, congratulations on the 50k subs, well deserved!
Thank you so much 😀
Seriously, we apreciate the effort and the sweat u are doing.
This video is so useful to me so i more easily can dicide in the future.
We owe u a beer,
Skål från Sverige🇸🇪
Nice 👍🙏
Great presentation as usual much appreciated, TAT should be paying you,555.
I stayed at Areca many times. I agree it's going to be a trickle rather than a wave, good wishes to all who will jump through the "hoops" to get there but it will be a while before I return and hopefully retire there, also "horror story" circulating about "positive passenger" causing over 200 forced into isolation? I miss Thailand/Pattaya but will be a while before I return. Thank you for excellent work.
Good info sir... Thanks...
Welcome 🙏
Great video. Flipper group have a new hotel in soil 7 called Blackwood's. Would love to see inside if you get the chance. They built it from the ground up (unlike Flipper house that was originally two seperate hotels) so I'm keen to know what they did. Thanks for doing the legwork and feeding the travel bug :)
I think people will come back like you said but in small numbers to start . I myself planning March 2022.. Fantastic coverage of these Hotels .. I can't wait to see the new Pattaya
Lee Avison
two hotels out of the three you chose at the end are exactly the ones I booked for my next trip, hoping to be allowed to come in early 2022... my third choice is different, but only because I am still deciding whether to stay in Pattaya or stay in jomtien. Great video, great advice, I agree completely on the top 3 choice 👍 thanks for keeping us unlucky guys who at the moment cannot come to Thailand due to the coronavirus updated on what is going on in wonderland
Wonderful, safe travels Gianni 👍
I've stayed at the LK Empress twice and i loved it. I can highly recommend it.
just the info we need since we'll be coming back at a trickle when they start to open up.
Top man Lukas 👍
Thanks for that
Thanks for the run downs on the mid range hotels. Your videos coming thru vividly. Bright but calming to the eyes and colors pop. GoPro 10 I assume?
Yes, Thank you so much!
So many good options. Areca and LK Metropole have been at my top based on location but both looked like the rooms were a bit tired. I’ll be anxious for your final list.
Congratulations Loucous on the 50k milestone 👏 You deserve so much more but still its a great achievement. Your enthusiasm, knowledge and awesome personality is very transparent in your presentations. 👍
If you can make a couple bucks off the VPN, go for it...its certainly beneficial for us as well.
@Martin's Thai Life Dont suck up! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much!!
Yea geniuses let's get 200k for him. Did you ever think how all his advice will become known to every bloody tourist and it will not be the same when the sleepy little lodge near the beach is known all through the western world.
@@tw364 🤣🤣🤣 Loucous is a secret weapon of information
Great video Lucas
Thanks Mark
Great tips tanks
No problem 👍
Superb Video
Stayed at the August suites last year , and I thought it was high end, mind you I'm easily pleased😁
50 K subscribers -- Congratulations....
👍👍👍
Nice one Lucas thank you. I'm in the Areca February if the universe plays ball. 👍🙏
Nice 👍
The last few seem as They would make a very good
Base to stay and then Tour from Daily ....Thanks for
doing the leg work for us...
No problem 👍
Really helpful, thanks. TBH I'm probably in the undecided when/if category but this edges me closer.
Nice 👍
Hi LOUCOUS and Vee plenty of choices for people to pick from. The Bayview is my favorite.
Yes, I think a great value just now as well.
1000bht has always been our upper limit with the day and evening being spent "out out". Having said that we HAVE stayed at LK Empress for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. The breakfast buffet is indeed splendid!
I would’ve chosen Blackwood as well value for money definitely the best thanks. 🙏🏴
I have stayed at August Suites many times, great hotel!
1st time there, and I stayed in August Suites...I had a scooter so I was going all around but it's a good walk to beach... rooms were very nice, and game room as well.
great video, I have stayed at LK properties before, like you said opulent and big rooms
Yes, I find the styling a bit different than anything else in Pattaya as well.
Good video and info.
Glad it was helpful!
Stayed at August Suites for a month last May, great rooms, pool, sauna and gym. Very helpful staff and guest friendly. Well recommended.
Thanks for sharing!
Gr8 info Lucas… thx.. Me & my Thai wife just got approved COE & are on our way back to BKK / Pattaya in 5 days 👏🏼👏🏼( we want to beat the rush/ crowds) Let me know if u want anything from the USA that u can’t get in Thailand 👍🏼
Love the Metropole , stayed there many times
Now I just go to the metro apartments
They have a good bar & the deluxe rooms are great
Stayed at The Areca 3 times ,and the Swimming pools alone made it for me but not cheap ,once things open up i would imagine .At the back ''Evergreen wing'' pool view (went for the cheaper option the first time ,balcony overlooked a carpark 🤦♂️.But most have a shower over bath a tub ,but not a problem for me .Staff at the time when i stayed were lovely .
I booked a 3 star hotel room for AUD$15 a night on soi chaiyapoon.
Absolutely stoked for Christmas.
I’ve stayed at blue sky many times always good, and staff are great
Good to know 👍
How about an episode on girl friendly hotels?
Great video by the way.👍
All girl friendly if you book for 2 people up front.
@rides4kickz Congratulations on the 50k. subs.
What would be the hotel with the best amenities - swimming pool, fitness, etc.?
Thanks!
LK Metropole probably out of that group, although all have pools and some sort of gym.
The Areca is a great choice. Have stayed there several times. Very good staff and nice pool. We prefer the rooms over looking the pool. Very central location. Great round up of hotels in that price range.
I have been going to flipper Lodge superior modern room with breakfast on soi 8 for 15 years, stayed April suites down alley off second road think changed its name to August. Yes friends sometimes stayed flipper house soi 7 near a7 bar and lk group hotels near metro, spot on with your list there lucus.
That one for 9500 for the month is a steal in that location.
Your sense of duty to public service is admirable - altho there is some pay included too 555
Thankyou Locusts !
Our pleasure!
Respect for not going down the ad route
Lucas, after you finish covering the hotel options, do a similar series for food (from the favorite inexpensive picks to the high-end places.) This will help the wider audience looking to travel to Thailand down the road and looking for research prior to going. You could grow the footprint a good deal this way.
If you do a series on dining options, you may want to subdivide into best seafood places, best local food, best meat spots, best vegan, best salad stops, etc., all at the different price points.
Great idea - would love the dining reviews
I've stayed at LK Empress 4 times. Even the basic rooms are twice the size of some that are twice the price (Hilton, Wave), staff exceptional, breakfast buffet very good, great restaurant in the evenings (dont have to be staying there to use it). Easy walk to Walking street, Soi 6 & LK etc and it's right on Beach Road. It's probably the best combination of cost/facilities and location of any hotel there. I'm surprized it dosent get mentioned more often. You have to be quick to get their beachfront rooms though, but do bear in mind they are right on Beach road so you have to balance the benefit of having a direct view of the sea with the traffic noise.
But this year for my trip in December I'm staying at Areca as in the current situation all the action seems to be over in that side of town. When things are back to normal though Lk Empress will be very hard to resist.
Wow. LK Metropole. Damn that brings back memories. Lived in one of their penthouse apartments for 1 year back in 2005 when it was just built. Had a huge terrace with jacuzzi. What a party time we had. Shared it with a friend. Was a 2 bedroom apartment. I wonder how many girls we had back at that place during that crazy year. 🤣
haha, we stayed in that penthouse last year, it was huge. I thinik it may be one of the larges rooms available in Central Pattaya.
Another good video Lucas...think I'll book 2-3 nights at Bayview since it's SHA approved. What condo would you recommend checking for short stay say 3-6 months.coming in November....see you around.
If you want to be in the center of town, check on AirBnB for units at The Centara, Grand Avenue or The Base.
I have done LK also very nice.
I don't know if there is much demand for service apartments, but could you do a video on them. Very much like the content you have done on the hotels. From what I've seen, You prefer the hotel experience.
Hotel I saw £800 per month and super high quality, I can't wait.
Hi, Lucas! Would you include into your short term comparison videos Zing Hotel Pattaya (Tappraya road soi 7)? It was my favorite hotel in Pattaya for a time and it would be great to know your opinion as local expert.
August suites is my spot stay there every time I get to Pattaya service is great and the place is immaculate, they also have March And April suite
Stayed at blue sky soi 5 great little hotel
Blue sky is a nice hotel but the beds are rock hard !
Really enjoy your channel. Could you address how to book the first day packets from first nov. You need booking for room, transport, pcr test for you Thailand pass. Thanks.
Great idea!
I agree with the previous comment about Areca Lodge. Quiet room and well appointed. Nice free breakfast but had no A/C in the restaurant and it was terribly hot! My only negative.
August Suites was a BKK112 recommended hotel 👍. I should probably stay at Markland 😋🇹🇭🍺👍
LK Empress is a great location ..great Buffett and a little tired in their rooms..they could do with a mini reno
yeah, perfect beach road location.
Great idea to do these video. As a person who cannot walk far It would be great if you could cover things like motorbility scooter hire, disability facilities in all your videos i.e. If my room is on the 8th floor, can a motorbility scooter get up there? Some restaurants you have shown are upstairs - is there are lift, and how close are the tables too each other?
Yes, you can rent an electric scooter, many people use them here, but there will still be some places you can't go with it as not every where is accessible.
