    I prefer to venture out for breakfast. Nothing worse than eating the same breakfast, in the same room, day after day....

    The Adephi appears adequate for the money. My personal favourite to date is D-Appartments opposite the Soi Buakhao entrance to New Plaza and turn right at the 7/11. A much smaller hotel with a rooftop pool and immaculately clean rooms. A same size balcony room with all amenities., including a much bigger, TV and kitchenette. It's 900-1000 baht per night. Possible reduction for long stays. Another great hotel is Flipper Lodge at Beach Rd end of Soi 8, but its fairly costly, perhaps double the price. Not sure as its been over 16 years since I was that daft to part with that sum of money for accommodation in Pattaya (mingebag, Keeniow) 🤣

      @siscott6066 Před 5 měsíci +1

      I'm the same, a mingebag... I don't like paying more than 800-900 baht a night I stayed at the Adephi last March I managed to get it for 900baht but it was funny watching the coach loads of Indian and Chinese going into the soapy massage across the soi they were like little schoolboys being naughty 😂😂😂😂

      Flipper Lodge is terrible imo. i stayed there last year and left on the 2nd day. Stayed Adelphi twice and its decent, price goes up and down so need to get lucky. Try the travel lodge soi 15. Spotless, great bed and cheap.

      I've stayed at D Apartments now 8 times in 5 years but the pool area is in need of lots of renovations. I was there last week and missing tiles in the pool. Broken beds, flooring and very dirty pool sadly. I'm booked in again for May but considering the Adelphi instead

    I always enjoyed my stay there. I liked the rooftop pool. I now usually stay at the D hotel as it's a little cheaper but just as nice imo.

    I like the modern touches- Key card elevator, Rooms cleaned when YOU leave the room. The hotel focuses on being a Hotel and Not a buffet/hotel.
    And a Very nice rooftop pool. In Late February to Late March, I decided to go super budget. I am in a good hotel on Soi 9 Skaw Beach.

    Thanks for the review. I've always had one eye on staying here for years due to the good price and reviews. The only thing that has put me off is the fantastic Amber hotel next door which is my (by far) favourite hotel in Pattaya.

      I stayed at the Adelphi whilst the Amber hotel was being built several years ago. I used to sunbathe on the top of the Adelphi, whilst the workmen were making loads of noise building the Amber.... I stayed at Amber during COVID.. very good service....Both hotels are my go to place....👍

    I stayed there in March last year The staff are extremely friendly besides when I booked in she definitely needed to chill out my ex Thai girlfriend even commented on her personality she must have thought my ex was from Thai friendly but she changed her mind when she realised I booked it with her name as well, very clean rooms and the coffee in the hotel is delicious I had to have it twice a day it tasted that good, it was a Thai coffee from north of Thailand if my memory serves me right.
    It's a short walk to the main night life area, and would I stay there again a definite yes I couldn't get a room this time because of songkran but I should have booked earlier schoolboy error.

    Why are the safes in most of the Thai hotels too small to fit even a 15" laptop? Many tourists bring laptops to Thailand. Where are they supposed to put their laptops?

    Great video as usual. Big fridge is becoming my favorite feature, anywhere I stay. Indeed a decent mid-range option. P.S. don't get yourself kill3d (like Kev) with your *&^%$! smoking. Time to stop. Get some help. We like our Big Fat Besties alive. I say all this because we care !

    • @ian_y

      I've stayed in both. Amber is lovely but walls are quite thin so poor noise insulation. Adelphi less lovely but bigger rooms and better soundproofing. Amber has breakfast and food options. My room in Adelphi was facing PP Massage but was still quiet at night (except for the odd noisy motorbike traversing the soi).
