Hello. Can you please explain why there are two places for hoses? The little white one on the back and the port on the side?

I just purchased this unit. The white fitting on the back is for using the pump feature with the small included hose, which will pump periodically as the bucket fills up.
The port on the side is for attaching a garden hose fitting for continuous gravity draining, which is the drain option I'm using.

Any advice on how to connect a condensate hose to the pump outlet. My unit arrived without the “gray ring”. And GE said they don’t provide that part as a replacement

Hi bucket is empty but on display show blinking. And i cannot change the temperature and fan setting
