So Hyang must have abs of steel to control her breath. She makes maximum use of the available time, rest, breaks between words etc. to inhale and set before she sings. She makes sure her mouth position is correct for the upcoming word so there are no quick unnatural movements necessary to achieve the intended result.
She was forced to learn the best breathing technique probably because of her bouts of recurring pneumonia. Like her mastery of all other singing techniques, she is a walking textbook for all singers to study.
In addition to all this So Hyang is trying (and succeeding so far) to be a person whose life and ministry is believable so that she can give comfort to others going through difficult times.
So Hyang gives hope that even ordinary people, if they have some basic talent, can work hard to become the best they can be. (To listen to her just speak as an ordinary person, one is in awe that her singing voice is so amazing). Remember, she was in her 30's before she approached her potential and began to get the recognition she so richly deserves. At age 44 she is the best she has ever been!
We are so fortunate to be able to see these encouraging performances in this generation and for generations to come!
May God continue to bless So Hyang and keep her healthy and strong so her ministry can continue to flourish!
