    • @xspower21
      @xspower21 Před 2 lety +1

      The trucks turning radius got noticeably larger, and windshield visibility got worse then the previous generation and is now harder to maneuver in every environment from small parking lots to tight trails. They shrunk the interior to worst in class, and since the back seat still has a transmission hump it totally exacerbates how much room we lost. And having a flat loading floor in the back makes haul/storing easier when using the back seat, and in the Tundra, the backs seats won't lay flat, so the design and functionality are sub par at best in the back seat so wait till you need to really use the back seats and yiu will realize how Toyota screwed us there. They made the bed smaller and narrower. So they advertise the truck being bigger, but it's a marketing scam as the usable space and functionality is worse then the previous generation. The old truck was horrible for interior/ exterior lighting, well its still piss poor and worst in class, the tail gate / bed is harder to access then the previous generation. And now the hardest bed to access of all beds on the market These are all massive steps. backwards. The bed has a useless 400w plug for Toyotas premiere work truck, but you can get a 1500w inverter in the 2021 Sienna minivan, that's just asinine. Get inside and you will find how poor the design and quality are. Pull up on the seats and you will be shocked out how absurdly cheap they are. The entry handle on the A pillar will rip your skin off your knuckles, so it's completely useless. The crawl control is right every one spills there food and drinks even though they had a ton a dash real-estate to put it someplace functional, but nope, not Toyota. The wireless charger struggles to stay connected and if running navigation on your phone, it won't charge your phone, so that's just gimmicky junk. The payload increase is almost on par with my 2011 Tundra I just sold, so that's embarrassing. The 2022 hybrid got bested by Fords 2021 hybrid, and while it was nominal, Toyota only updates powertrains every 15yrs, so in 2 yrs the powertrains will be worst in class for another 13 yrs and the gas mileage is a completeembarrassment, it barely better than my new 2021 stage 2 whipple aupercharged Roush F150 which is getting a bit over 17mpg in eco mode and my truck makes 775hp 685ft/lbs ....And the list of massive miss fires and poor quality and design are littered through out this whole truck....this guy has no business reviewing cars.

    So I got the platinum it’s in the wind chill white beautiful truck with options I’ve had it for a couple months, I love it! There is one thing that I do wish they would have not done I’m just the V6 TwinTurbo and that’s the blue stitching inside, although it looks wonderful but I feel like it took away to make it a personal truck from my self. I feel the blue lighting and the Blue stitching should have only been for the hybrid models. It does look great and it’s awesome but they should have kept it only for the hybrid.

    • @voided3
      @voided3 Před 2 lety

      Agreed, especially considering the high tow ratings in the 10,000-11,000 lbs. range will net you a tongue weight of at least 1,000-1,100 lbs., you basically only have enough payload left for yourself and a cup of coffee. For perspective, we used to have a 2016 Hyundai Tuscon with a 1,250 lbs. payload rating.....
