Big thanks to Dave for sharing this very well built fun watch. Dave is selling for $1400, email me to buy crvluv@yahoo.com www.exquisitet... littletreasury...
Just here to say THANK YOU for doing simple straightforward videos. No loud music and quiet speaking with a bunch of hyped intros. I appreciate your simplicity and your content. Btw...I now own 5 Squares because of your reviews :)
I haven't spent anytime wearing a single hand watch, but I imagine it would become second nature like you said after a day or so. The dial is easily my favorite part of the design, and that date magnifier is extremely well executed. An all around beautiful piece!
Yeah I had one before and have just ordered one of these today- after a day it makes complete sense and like you say, second nature. Although I also tried a Glycine purist 24h dial and could not work it out easily, even after weeks 😂
My father has one. God, it's beautifully made. It takes time to get used to reading it. The quality is very high, detail in the finish is almost perfect.
Definitely a high quality piece. Not sure a single-handed watch is my cup of tea. Maybe if I was retired and not as concerned about exact time; nah, probably not my jam.
I bought the hand-wind 1Z a number of years ago when they first hit the US market (Watch Buys). Fabulous watch that has garnered more attention then any watch I’ve owned. The only downside is that has become a bit harder to read as my eyes age. But given the quality and comfort I don’t really care. Great review.
You can't have a magnifier on the bottom. The hands would hit it. Of course, you could get around this by leaving more room between the face and crystal, but then you have a thicker watch. Or, you could inset the magnifier, but then the crystal gets thicker. About the ONLY way to do what you want would be a fresnel lens on the bottom of the crystal, but those are not as sharp.
Hello Rob, I just discovered your video, well done!. Thank you !!. I also discovered the Métris which I found very beautiful. Since there is no retailer nearby, based on your experience, is this model compatible with a wrist of 15cm in circumference with the watch securely attached? Thanks for your feedback.
It's easy to hack when theres no seconds hands, when your going to set the time, just wait for the other watch to reach the 12oclock and then just press in the crown. you know it will take one minute from that point on for the next minute, the same it will take the watch you used to synchronize it. It's just common sense.
@@mt24Carson Who said that the Prices start at MSRP at their site? Bro go on their site and stop talking stuff that isnt correct. They are $884 right now
3:30 The parallax is too high since the hand is too far up from the dial. For a watch of 5 mins least count, I would have preferred a hand closer to the dial so that there is no parallax error.
Honestly, I’d be all over MeisterSinger watches if only they weren’t emblazoned with Arial, which is basically the Safeway Cola to Helvetica’s Coke. (Helvetica came out in the ’50s, and Arial came out in the ’80s, and each of Arial’s letter has the same dimensions as that corresponding letter in Helvetica; Arial is an explicit knockoff.)
Interesting design. I personally would rather a more accurate watch, but if I cared THAT much, I’d just wear quartz right? I like the variety, I just don’t think I’d spend that much for something I wouldn’t wear often. Thanks (to you and Dave) for the review and introducing something different.
I’ve owned one before and just ordered this model today- you pick it up within a day or so (we’ll I did and others I have spoken to have too) Surprising how easy it is as the hours are in the same place- I struggled with the Glycine purist 24h dial as the numerals are in different places.
This watch doesn't go far enough! How about a 1000mWR one-hander Vintage model, which shows the time using either the Julian or Mayan calendar (Snoopy version available). For the contrarian in your life, who struggles to start a conversation.
Try a classic model Luch first if you’re unsure about a single hand dial. Only US$50-60, about 37mm, 8mm thick, hand winding, many dial colour options.
Laco and Stowa have long heritage and can be picked up for a lot cheaper. Equally Meistersinger can be found cheaper if you look about- I got this watch for £600/$700 today
This one is for sale at $1400, so $40 more. Why would someone want to buy from CWard when you will have to import it, pay duties, etc. and this one is almost the same price and may be delivered in 2-3 days?
That gave me a chuckle. Reminds me a pressure gauge. Definitely got a 50s industrial vibe. But to scratch the same itch, the Luch is the way to go imho.
Rob did mention that it runs +7 per day, so technically very accurate. I have a single hand watch - they are easy to read to the minute. Accuracy is only an issue if you need running seconds.

Luch watches are famous for single hand and a great value!
Andrew Hannam , yes they are. I plan to get one ☝️
Love mine 👍
Yes, il Luch con poco hai tanto. Reference 719 50981.very beatiful
Love this watch!! Thanks for posting, Rob!
I quite like MeisterSinger as a brand. They do tend to look like a bathroom scale for little people though
My father has one. God, it's beautifully made. It takes time to get used to reading it. The quality is very high, detail in the finish is almost perfect.
Such a good looking elegant piece. I like it!

That's a beautiful case. A dyed snakeskin strap - blue or green or brown - would be super.
The moon phase meistersinger model is a beauty. Tip third of the dial is all moon phase similar to the Christopher Ward.
That dark blue nato strap and the cream dial is a perfect combination.
I'd like to get one of these. Would be great for a holiday when you don't need to adhere to a schedule/ timeline (except your flight time).
Great looking piece
Meistersinger watches are absolutely georgeous! Another one-hand german brand (with swiss ETA) would be Botta Design.
Looks like a pressure gauge. But super cool 😎
Really like that dial!
Very cool watch
For a one hand watch, it makes perfect sense to have a one b00b logo :D
Whats the time Rob ? , it's 11:18 on the clock behind me lol :) , looks nice watch , but 1 hand is no point
Thanks , great colour, very classy.
Btw I now own a mini turtle because of your review.
I'd love that Metris cream color dial with BLUED hands. And a normal handset would look great on that.
Sweet watch.

Nice
Christopher Ward sells them, you can get a 35 percent discount on them right now, so they are $884 at the moment
Did not know that
MSRP is $1795, not $1400.

Complimenti, il metris , e' super. Con il dial beige. Ho visto che hai il white Shark, 300 m. Very beautiful diver. Tanta sostanza

Bloody cool😎👍🏼 Should come with a caveat...”Do not wear under the influence of alcohol”. 🤪🍻🤣

Ashley Bischoff , a great observation 👍. Clearly you are a font of knowledge!
Yes, I agree with the other comment.
It does look like a bathroom scale!
Beautiful watch. May get one at some stage.
Nice watch! Good Video
the case shape is crazy awesome but, I cannot use a watch without an exact time, maybe I’ll buy it in 20 more years

I like it! i think i want a 1 handed watch now!
Such an interesting watch
High quality no doubt, but maybe a tough sell with the one hand
the ss case is magnificent
Once you get used to a one handed watches reading the time and setting the time becomes second nature.
I like the brand and the watch but I wish it had two hands. Not sure I could get used to continually guessing the time.
I’ve owned one before and just ordered this model today- you pick it up within a day or so (we’ll I did and others I have spoken to have too)

Nice review. 4I never saw the point of dropping the minute hand though.
Is the blue hand dyed or heat treated?
Probably my nearest watchmaker. Almost was tempted to buy one of their limited city editions but they are to dressy for me.
This watch doesn't go far enough!

Enjoyed your video, thank you. But sorry, can't see the rationale for the watch. Seems an expensive gimmick?
I think for these one handed watches, they should atleast make a color Change on the 15 30 and 45 min indicate lines in between the hour Hands.
Interesting. I like it. Might have to find one. Dam you Rob, your costing me money ;)

Nice single hand!
almost choked when i heard the price lol, was definitely expecting sub $1000
I really like this watch. I've never owned a German watch. There must be cheaper German watches out there though?
1800 is a bit rich for me.
Laco and Stowa have long heritage and can be picked up for a lot cheaper.
Equally Meistersinger can be found cheaper if you look about- I got this watch for £600/$700 today
Don’t care if it has one hand or two, my watch isn’t for time telling anyway :)
Christopher Ward is selling this watch for $1,360 if anybody is interested.
You mean a CW one-hander?
This one is for sale at $1400, so $40 more. Why would someone want to buy from CWard when you will have to import it, pay duties, etc. and this one is almost the same price and may be delivered in 2-3 days?
they are 35% off on Christopher Ward website For a 35% discount, enter code MEISTER35 in promo code box when checking out.
@@mt24Carson Not everybody watching this lives in the u.s, and there is a 35% discount code.so this might be a good deal for some.
I am sorry Rob but I can’t see the point of a one handed watch. To me if it only has one hand then it needs to be repaired.
The cyclop eye is fugly. Without date it would be better.
Were they trying to cut costs by removing the minute and seconds hands?
Did this once belong to the late great Hylda Baker, ??
(a joke for anyone over 60, and English,, ).....,, lol,,,,,
Second!
Don't like it at all. It looks like a bathroom scale.
That gave me a chuckle. Reminds me a pressure gauge. Definitely got a 50s industrial vibe. But to scratch the same itch, the Luch is the way to go imho.
this watch is not accurate...I wouldn't buy a watch where you have to guess the time...
Rob did mention that it runs +7 per day, so technically very accurate. I have a single hand watch - they are easy to read to the minute. Accuracy is only an issue if you need running seconds.
Maybe it's only me but I must have some sort of 'life' and movement in the dial. This seems dead, can't stand that.
