    I bought a Meistersinger Primatik 365 and it’s my favourite watch.

    I own the lumeless cream dial Metris. Lucky for me, I don’t care much about lume and never need it. The case design and finishing is excellent and the time is easy enough to read in the ways that matter. “Is it 7pm yet? Nope, but almost. I should head home for dinner.” Unexpectedly, this is the most well-regulated watch in my collection as measured by a Timegrapher.
    For those on the fence, most people will never notice you are wearing a single hand watch. Therefore, I suggest equally weighting your judgment of its looks up close with how it looks at a distance. It’s much more discreet and less of a novelty than most people seem to think.
    Furthermore, this can be worn as a daily (which I’ve done). You’d be surprised how infrequently you need to know what second or minute it is right now. If you live an over-scheduled life, though, you’ll probably end up tossing it out of your office window.

      Thanks for watching, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree, I think the idea of a one hand watch isn't as difficult to digest as people make it seem. I could see myself owning one and being fine with it in almost all circumstances.

      Hi, for the reasons you mention I’ve been considering a one hand watch for a while now. I’m getting older and legibility will be increasingly inportant for me. Can you easily see the 5 minute markers?

      @@endo9913 I’d suggest getting the Meistersinger with the jump hour. That way the hand clearly defines the exact minute and the actual hour is viewed through the hole in the dial.

    I'm expecting a new MS with a sunburst blue dial and canary yellow strap in a month. I cannot wait.

    Love the video, but I did laugh when you mentioned loosing 5 seconds a day when you only estimate the time with this watch

    I actually think that this is a great way to tell the time, and FAR more intuitive than a three-hander.

    • @BeansAndBezels
      @BeansAndBezels  Před 2 lety +1

      I agree. This is a lot more intuitive and natural, but lags behind in being accurate.

    • @frederick4929
      @frederick4929 Před 2 lety +1

      I disagree. Like the traditional 2 or 3 hands. This is the way we all learned it. If you to be modern and practical, leave the watch stuff and use your smartphone.

    • @BeansAndBezels
      @BeansAndBezels  Před 2 lety +2

      @@frederick4929 Just because you learned it a certain way, doesn't mean it is the most intuitive. Three hands (moving in different increments) to represent time that moves linearly in segments of 24 hours is actually counter intuitive if you think about it. Ideally a 24 hour clock with legible minutes and seconds increments would be ideal, but that is too hard to cram into a small 30mm dial.

    I got the Metris recently and really like it but the lume is pretty pointless (the same as on my Reverso duoface), but the watch has great proportions and makes an interesting addition to any collection.

    That’s pretty nice, perfect size for a dresser. I can even imagine owning one. Good video as always!

    Great video. It’s a beautiful watch. Now you’ve had plenty of time to think, would you buy it?

    Hello,
    I just discovered your video, very well done, well done! I also discovered the Métris which I found very beautiful. Since there is no retailer nearby, based on your experience, is this model compatible with a wrist of 15cm in circumference with the watch securely attached? Thanks for your feedback.

    • @BeansAndBezels
      @BeansAndBezels  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for watching! I think this watch would wear well on a 15cm wrist. It didn't feel large on my 16cm wrist at the time.

    I like this watch, I even considered buying this model, but just couldn't pull the trigger. The fact that you don't see any moving elements disturbs me somewhat. I wonder what this model would look like with a small second hand on the position of the date and a see through caseback. Although it wouldn't be a one hand watch anymore, I think it could be interesting.

    • @BeansAndBezels
      @BeansAndBezels  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for watching. The lack of moving elements is tough on the eyes initially, and even tougher when I try to shoot it for time-lapse footage since that's what I do in my videos. But you get used to it after a while, and it forces you to be a bit more laid back as well.

    Interesting watch indeed. It'd be a pain to readjust your brain to see the time at a glance tho

    • @BeansAndBezels
      @BeansAndBezels  Před 2 lety

      Surprisingly it only takes 15-20 minutes to re-adjust. You'll never get precise measurements quickly, but ~5 minute intervals are actually easy to read.

      I found (with my first Meistersinger 3 a few years ago) that it only took me a day to get used it it. Within a few days I could tell the time to the minute.
