Bird is the best trashtalker ever....he talked the talk and then walked the walk every time!!!
I was in the Corps and during open PT that year I learned how to play basketball that year. It was a special year of my life and I learned to be fast and steal and be fast then pass to the good players. Believe me, watching those games live on TV back then, Bird was as good as he has been shown to be, and so were the rest of the players on that team!
I never tire of stories that have Larry Legend in them. He is on my starting 5.
I hated The Celtics back then with a passion, but they were one of the most cohesive well oiled machines working together EVER! You had to give them that, and Bird ,,,"Y'all can say what you want, he BELONGS on Mount Rushmore, Period!
He's the baddest White Dude to ever las'em up!
And what a lot of folks don't talk about is, his success since High school, College, his professional career and Coaching! He never won a Chip in the league coaching, but he won everything else, and he epitomizes hard work, dedication and a sheer love for the game of basketball. Something so many of the players, then and now took/take for granted.
I don't think there were players with higher BB I.Q's than both he and Magic! They always seemed two or three plays ahead of everyone else....
Larry was just driven. I watched him play all through his tenure with the Celtics. When we started really watching him play we were constantly saying "what", that's when he started taping the games. I have around 80 + games plus play off games. We just couldn't believe how many times he just was so clutch.
5:08 Kevin Mchale’s Bill Walton impression 😂😂
I enjoy all your LB videos. Please add his lefty game. Walton liked to exaggerate, but Larry did score 20 of his 47 points with his left hand. (1986 Feb 14 @ Blazers (120-119 OT) trp/dbl & clinch 47/14/11/1/2)
That's Walton! 😂. He loves to embellish on his stories! You can tell he loves the spotlight! Lol.
It was a very different time than ever before and ever since. The world has indeed changed for the worst.
Larry Legend
Great job - love the footage and the interviews
One of many great players. Loved watching him. Funniest video of him about something I didn’t know. Loved it ❤
TOP 10 ALL-TIME NBA 🏀 PLAYER(#6 ON MY LIST) LARRY LEGEND#33 ..
Bird is greatest clutch player of all time
The numbers mentioned in the video vary.
The REAL number was that the Celtics were down by 22 at halftime - 70 to 47.
18 January 1986.
Great video!
One of my favorite Larry Bird stories is his interaction with the Ref.
The Fucking Legend
There will be valid arguments but that team was the best I’ve ever seen.
I was raised football/baseball from my Daddy.. I do remember as a little girl my Daddy liked the Sixers too ... he loved all sports but Baseball and Football were more prevalent. I remember him liking Dr. J. Moses Malone.. hating Larry Bird.. Watching these videos of Larry.. I understand why Daddy hated him... He wasn't a Sixer lol
Fenomeno en plas
I played against Patrick Ewing in high school. He was a dominant force on the court. All I could do was foul him or body him away from basket
Luka,Jokic, Bird, Kareem, Magic none of these players are known for there speed but like most great players are solid fundamentlly and are10 plays ahead of most players. It is great to be fast and jump high , but was is truly important is the results. The best clutch player ever.
Little did america know mike obama played for the knicks in the 80s and 90s.
✌
After Bill Walton extra kissed Birds Butt Bird blasts him for lying on KC Jones check out the goofiest laugh in life’s history 😂😂😂 11:16
The one guy who Larry would never talk trash to
was prime Jordan with prime Pippen with
Grant/Rodman.
Larry Legend talked facts. He would tell you what he was going to do. Then he did it. It was now a fact.
He did though. He literally told Jordan "You can't guard me and shot it in his face". He didn't even consider Pippen worthy of talking to and he torched Rodman all the while saying, quick give me the ball I am wide open with Rodman all over him and scored at will.
You got a thumbs dwn for babbling on
Stop hating on the white man ..we invented this game
Why is a Brit talking on this video? Should be a guy doing his best imitation of Johnny Most!
T
You mentioned the white man so much.. how come
Because the video is about Bird and Bird is white?
Sorry but I feel like I ve seen this topic/video a thousand times no I know it's not your fault
Larry Bird is the BEST ALL-AROUND PLAYER EVER!!! BEST passing small forward, BEST rebounding small forward, BEST shooting small forward, Best clutch player ever, and highest basketball IQ ever. TOP FIVE PLAYER ALL-TIME. Magic, Michael, Bird, Russell, and Wilt. Nobody is beating that team!!!
It’s nice having the different stories about it all compiled into one video.
