Drilling holes to route a dehumidifier drain hose to the outside of my garage

I show how I installed a dehumidifier drain hose and drilled holes to route it outside so I don't have to empty my dehumidifier manually.
The hose I'm using is only 4' long, and would be better suited for bathroom/kitchen counter use to direct water down a sink drain, I may eventually have to replace it with a 6-7' hose to get the water to my rose bush instead of letting it drain across my driveway.

Because they are in my garage, the walls I'm drilling through are simple (one piece of plywood and a few boards/trim pieces). Be sure you know what is inside your walls before you drill, because it's no fun to hit a water pipe or electrical wire.
