Been waiting for this video !!! AWESOME collection !!! Great background with Eastwood & "Unforgiven" Wow what a superb Korean edition of "Dances of wolves", some titles I need to pick up while watching this, I got to be honest Donny, I couldn't really get into "The Homesman" Totally agree a top 10 can be difficult sometimes, thoroughly enjoyed seeing your American western collection & think I will be watching this video a good few times !!!! Excellent stuff Donny !!!!
Thank you very much, sir. I knew you would like this video :) I also knew you would react to my Unforgiven background. I understand why you couldn't get into The Homesman, it's not your usual western, but I thought it was quite alright. Glad you enjoyed watching my western collection, Carlos. All the best!
My favorite genre ever, unfortunately there are way more bad westerns as there are good westerns. So on that note I'd love to hear your top 10 best westerns and top 10 best spaghetti westerns.

@@CinemaniacSeventy7 did you know the only western I've seen Is the good the bad and the ugly because I do love clint eastwood he makes great films like mystic river american sniper the good the bad and the ugly and gran torino
Donny this is heaven for me, as you probably know! Fantastic collection, and simply too many great films for me to comment on individually as Neil said. I'll be grateful for Warner or Criterion to upgrade Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid now so we have all those Peckinpah classics on Blu. We really need upgrades of some of those Jimmy Stewart westerns too, and thankfully Explosive Media seem to be obliging. Ah I love that Dances With Wolves Korean edition! I don't think The Gunfighter has been released on Blu, but I wish it was! I'm surprised we haven't seen Cheyenne Autumn on Blu yet, come on Warner Archive! Ditto The Naked Spur. The Big Trail is on Blu-ray btw, incase you weren't sure (one I still have to pick up!). I can't wait for Duel in the Sun Blu too. Now we definitely need the DC of Tombstone on Blu! Quite a few here I need to grab myself (that's putting it mildly)! I'm especially lacking on Randolph Scott stuff I'm sorry to say, will have to rectify that. You know, when you originally mentioned your top 5, I was thinking 'He's got to have Shane in there surely?!' - good job I waited until the end! That would definitely be in my top 5 too, possibly top along with The Searchers, but as you say, it's so difficult! You forgot 2 of the best lol with Red River and Yuma - that's definitely the kind of thing I would have done ha! The chap below recommended No Name on the Bullet and Gunman's Walk - both of these are very good indeed, especially the latter, which is terrific. There's probably some more I'm forgetting. Have you seen Jubal? Another Daves classic with a great release from Criterion. Broken Arrow is another I'm not sure if I spotted here, but forgive me if I missed it! Fantastic collection Donny. Take care my friend.
Oh yes, I knew this was heaven for you. Thank you very much, sir. A Criterion release of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid would be absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to their Blu-ray of Straw Dogs. Even though I have Dances with Wolves on blu, I won't ever get rid of the Korean set - it's too fucking beautiful! I'm sure we'll get to see a Blu-ray edition of The Gunfighter very soon and fingers crossed for Cheyenne Autumn - that movie desperately needs a hi-def treatment. Yes, I wasn't sure if The Big Trail was on blu and I found out later that it's available in Germany and the US. I've been waiting for Duel in the Sun to come out on blu for so long. Here's hoping for Kino not to screw it up (I'm pretty sure they won't). I was thinking the other day about buying the Blu-ray of Tombstone, but now that you mentioned the DC, I'm gonna wait a little longer for that one. Randolph Scott isn't like Wayne and Eastwood - he usually plays a romantic type of gunslinger, but his films are very good. Glad I'm not the only one who finds it difficult putting together a Top-whatever of favourite westerns, and Shane deserve to be in every Top 5. Yeah, that was very stupid of me to forget Yuma and Red River - no idea how that happened. I will certainly check out both No Name on the Bullet and Gunman's Walk. I have seen Jubal and I loved it, but I still need to grab the Criterion edition. I don't have Broken Arrow and I don't remember ever seeing it either - another title for my wishlist. Thanks for your great comment, Kyle. I really appreciate it. Take care, my friend.

If you like Audie Murphy then you need to get “No name on the bullet,” and “The Texican.” Also, Rio Bravo didn’t have a sequel or trilogy. Howard Hawks liked making Rio Bravo so much that he wanted to make another like it so he did El Dorado. Your collection is awesome, thanks for posting it.
I've seen No Name on the Bullet recently and that was very good. El Dorado and Rio Lobo are companion pieces to Rio Bravo, so it's considered a trilogy. Thanks for watching & commenting.
