This was a quick ride around town, back roads and some high way. overall i liked this motorcycle it was comfortable with power when you need it. The V-twin 1200cc actually feel really good when pushing it towards the top end. it seems to never want to quit pulling. with 100hp and 72 ft-lbs of torque at 6000rpm its safe to say for a cruiser it like to be rev'd out!
Let me know what other bike you would like to see in the comments and ill do everything I can to get a ride on it.
Good video, but I do think you missed out on trying the power out on that bike, redline is 8,200 and the bike is quite docile until you get to 5,500 then it absolutely takes off. It’s actually quite shocking how fast it really is.
I’d also have to disagree with the title, I don’t think you can group all years of scouts together, as there have been pretty decent improvements over the years.
2017 the rear suspension was upgraded
2018 the front suspension was upgraded
2020 the brake discs, as well as the master cylinders got a upgrade, as well as some gear ratios changed in the transmission.
There’s also several other minor changes, and improvements throughout the years. Good video nonetheless though, look forward to seeing more.
Thanks for the response. Once I got back to the dealership he told me the red line and I was like “oh I barley let it out damn” I guess that’s an issues with having a digital tac.
I grouped them together because I went in to test the 2020 bobber and was told the 2016 they had was the exact same except for cosmetic and ergonomic changes. 🤷🏼♂️ I was just going off what I was told.
Yes I agree about the tachometer, in fact I dislike the digital so much I installed a analog tach.
Also not surprised you were told they were the same. I’ve been to at least 6 Indian dealerships across the country, and unless it’s a stand alone Indian dealer, I find most of the salesmen to be clueless. They know just enough to get them out the door. In fact the first time I saw a scout in 2015, the salesman tried telling me it had built in gps navigation in the cluster. After that I knew I wanted one, but I wouldn’t buy it from them. Lol. Ride safe, perhaps you’ll get a second chance on a scout someday.

Those beach bars look so much better than the stock bars.
They were very comfortable too, the angle that your wrists were at was very relaxed.
