Fun fact: Syrax is mother to Vermax, Arrax and Tyraxes (the dragons of Rhaenyra's 3 oldest sons) so when Rhaenyra is mourning over the remains on the beach, Syrax is grieving the loss of her offspring as well. So damn sad.
the "ratcatcher" assassins weren't actual dumb-arses. they asked daemon "what if we can't find [aemond]?" later, in the kids' bedroom, one says "a son for a son, he said." so prince jaehaerys was daemond's plan b. the scriptwriters withheld daemon's response because they didn't want to spoil the surprise at the end.
I love how they use Cassandra from Greek myth/epic (cursed as a true seer but never believed)as the model for Helaena. And then she points to the son expecting they wonât believe her, but they call her bluff.
I donât know if you noticed, but Aegon actually wanted to help the smallfolk in the throne scene.

Emma DâArcy was amazing in this episode and they only had one line of dialogue: âI want Aemond Targaryen!â đ
Blood & Cheese was a lot more darker in the book then what they showed, but the tension leading up to that moment was still great. Also we got a name drop in the epsiode for the Dalton Greyjoy aka Red Krakenđ, but they'll probably save his appearance season 3. I just hope we see the lads & bloody ben this season !! đŻđ
Iâm mad that they cut out Daeron from this season. Hopefully he can come in season 3 like Dalton. However with Maelor being cut as well I fear Daeron will also be cut, considering they both had a plot in the reach that looks like is being scrapped.

@@cavrence Yeah I didn't that they cut out of the season as well. Since I heard somewhere that they might tell the story of the dance in four seasons, I'm thinking they will probably save both Daeron & Dalton for season 3. And just spend season 2 focus on the crownlands, while also maybe showing what's going on in the riverlands. I know for a fact if they want to do justice to the dance than they have to show what's going on the reach at some point, at least I hope so.

Although still absolutely horrific, the murder of Prince Jaehaerys was even more graphic and disturbing in the book. I'm glad that the show decided to tone it down. I did not need it to be more graphic than it was. The main plot elements were there and that's all that was necessary.

If you're listing Aegon's faults how about watching his illegitimate children fighting in the pits? I think that one comes top of the list.
And Daemon's faults include child grooming, wife murder, cousin murder, wife choking and now child murder.
Don't get me wrong. The Greens will their share of war crimes and atrocities but at this point Daemon is far worse than Aegon.
@@havok6280 Dead wrong. Aegon would be happy doing any of the things Daemon has done but I don't see Daemon filing his illegitemate children;s teeth to points and sending them into pits to fight.

@@alik5895this is straight up incorrect. Aegon didnât file down his bastards teeth and nails and have them fight for his entertainment. He likely fathered bastards in Fleabottom, yes. But he didnât put them in the pits. He may not even be aware of them.
And while he did attend the fighting pits during his drunken revelries, so did Baela Targaryen, Daemonâs daughter.
