Laurie I think is the first gymnast (American) since Shawn Johnson that just gives you that smile after and even right before she starts her routines. Simply joy.
I just love her floor exercise so much. So energetic and always put a smile on my face
I know, right? It’s so fun!! ^_^
Mine too! She sold that routine! Better than Simone by artistry not difficulty I bet if they were on a 10pt system she’d easily win
A gymnast with a distinctive style and an eye catching presence and attitude. I admire her so much
Agreed
One of the best smiles in all of gymnastics!!!
she is a friendly gymnast😁👍
Could have snatched Raisman’s AA spot easily without an injury.
Martha preferred to let Aly and Gabby try for the second spot
@@maia9056 The official word was she was sat out of bars in prelims due to her injury, but who will ever really know.
I've seen her speak out about how she really wasn't injured but that was just another Haney/Karolyi cover up, but I guess we'll never know:(
I mean, this may be a dumb question but if she was injured, why did she compete on the 3 other events?
@@rugbyplayer9100 supposably it was a wrist injury which affects bars most.
She's one of my favorite gymnast.
CANT BELIEVE SHE HAD AN INJURY THAT TIME. SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN HEAD TO HEAD WITH ALY FOR THE AA FINAL SPOT
Martha preferred to let Aly and Gabby compete for the second spot
@@maia9056 eitherway, if she did bars, the point still stands.
I don't know how she was able to do any of this with that injury but bars would have been pure torture with torn ab muscles.
@@maia9056 That was always the plan, for Aly and Gabby to fight for the second spot. Gabby was the silver world medalist at the time of the olympics. Gabby did finish 4th in points for all around spot but because of the 2 per a country rule could not compete.

She is so talented, beautiful & friendly. You rock Laurie! 💕💕
Can't wait for the Olympics this year!
This child is just fantastic
Laurie and Gabby had the most precious adorable smiles ever!
Laurie is so amazing!!! I’m looking forward to 2021 Olympics
Wow...insane to think. She trained 10+ years for that 20 minutes spent performing at the Olympics.
lovely, so charismatic!
She's playing with gravity
Woowww🌍🤯
Actually someone who has artistic and interesting routines i love it!!! (Not saying the others are bad they just don’t do what I really wanna see!)
If she do all around, I think her score might better than Aly Raisman & Gabby Douglas
Let's go, Laurie Hernandez for Tokyo 2021.
Wooo espectacular ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌
I miss this one.
Should have gotten a chance at qualifying for AA especially cuz in olympic trials she came 2nd to simone
Laurie it’s gymnastic favorite Tokio 2021 😍😍😍😍😍🇺🇸
I know Simone Biles quite rightly gets a lot of praise, but there is something utterly charming about Laurie. Love her.
beautiful at the gala event 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I love her!! You rock Laurie!
Very nice
Súper equipo 👌🏻 y porqué no van las mismas a Tokio??
Can you make a video with all of Madison Kocians Rio highlights?
She’s amazing at floor!
Ugh her double arabian + stag jump combo is so beautiful!
Mustafina’s and hers are definitely the best! Her 2013 fx Mustafina in the 2013 worlds
Wooow she's on fire 🔥
i hope you could do simone all rio
Laurie Hernandez will make a big comeback for the Tokyo 2021 summer Olympics and hopefuls for the new floor routines with a double pike last pass for higher difficulty with new elements. She will soon to do a double pike on floor exercise for Tokyo 2021 olympics.
I really hope her come back is a successful one and she can find a spot that's not an alternate on the Tokyo team.
She’s not competing
Her recent knee (iirc) it injury
@@susanna6462 i know unfortunately. I was so sad for her but hope to see her back once she heals.
She's the best
We have no choice but to stan

Wow,!
She wouldve killed it in NCAA :( wish she went to UF gymnastics
Please upload women´s 2008 Beijing FLOOR full Replay.
The two per country rule stinks, one of the best floor routines wasn't performed in the event finals because Aly and Simone already took the spots.
I mean if we're awarding outstanding athletes for being the absolute best in their chosen field then that rule makes no sense. If you only got 3rd place because someone who could potentially place higher than you wasnt allowed to compete then you aren't the third best in the world, your just the third best of your competitors. I know it would totally uproot the foundations of what the Olympics are all about but I wish we could do away with country representation entirely. The best in the world should should compete with the best in the world regardless of nationality to see who really is the pinnacle of their sport. So many athletes and countries lose their chance just because their teammates are incredible too.
I feel like her beam routine was underscored with the execution
What a beautiful young woman.
Is anyone from canada?
We also want Biles!!!

I am 3rd.....🤬
To think that boring cliche bb routine almost got gold. Thank God it didnt. Her floor is very creative though.
STFU
Agreed. Thankfully, I think what Wevers did at the Olympics inspired other gymnasts to try more original skills on the balance beam, different mounts, more turns. I don't know, last Worlds it seemed to me that there was more variety.
@@BubbyNikko yes! Wevers defied gravity and balance up there. It was beautiful to watch
